Continuous monitoring of subject's cardiac system using biological signal(s) (BS) during day-to-day activities is essential for managing personal cardiac health/disorders, etc. Conventional systems/methods lack in improvising overall classification results and configured for specific device/signal say ECG or PPG and so on. Present disclosure provides systems and methods for classifying BS obtained from users, wherein BS are preprocessed to obtain filtered signals (FS). Corresponding feature extraction module is utilized for feature set extraction based on features in FS. The feature set is reduced and segmented into test and training data. Biological signal classification model(s) are generated using training data and a BCM is applied on test data to classify biological signals (BS) as one of Atrial Fibrillation (AF), a non-AF, a cardiac arrythmia disorder, or ischemia. Accelerometer features of connected device associated with the users can be obtained to detect activities which in conjunction with the BCM's output improvises above classification.

Systems and methods for atrial fibrillation (AF) and cardiac disorders detection from biological signals

Medical systems and methods for making and using medical systems are disclosed. Example medical systems may include an atherectomy system configured to engage and remove plaque from walls in vessels of a vascular system. The atherectomy system may include a drive shaft, a rotational tip coupled to an end of the drive shaft, a drive mechanism coupled to the drive shaft to rotate the rotational tip, a control unit configured to control operation of the drive mechanism, and a knob assembly configured to facilitate longitudinal movement of the drive shaft, the rotational tip, and/or the drive mechanism. In some cases, the knob assembly may be configured to initiate adjustment of a mode of the drive mechanism in response to actuation of an actuator in the knob assembly.

Atherectomy system

This disclosure relates generally to a system and method for shoulder proprioceptive analysis of the person. The present disclosure monitors the shoulder joint motion by quantitative measure of range of motion (ROM) and kinesthesia of shoulder using a smart watch, thereby assessing the limit of active motion and the ability to passively reposition the arm in space. The present disclosure estimates the ROM, velocity, quality of joint movement, direction of hand movement using the sensor data captured by the smart watch. Further, the present disclosure provides a performance metrics of the shoulder function by comparing the shoulder motion before and after a prosthesis procedure. The present disclosure implements a rule engine-based approach classifying the shoulder/arm movement which includes flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction, internal and external rotation.

System and method for shoulder proprioceptive analysis

According to an aspect, a medical device may include a needle member, and a handle coupled to the needle member. The handle may define a track portion. The medical device may also include a pusher member having a sheath disposed around a portion of the needle member, and an extension member being movably coupled to the track portion of the handle such that the pusher member is configured to move from a first position to a second position during a surgical procedure. The pusher member may be removable from the handle. The sheath may define a slot, and the pusher member may be removable from the needle member through the slot.

Reusable delivery devices

A system for treating tissue includes a clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, each of the clip arms extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the proximal end of the clip arms connected to one another via a central member slidably received within a channel of a capsule to be moved between a tissue receiving configuration and a closed configuration, a cartridge for encasing the clip assembly including a groove formed therein to accommodate the clip assembly and an opening extending thereinto in communication with a portion of the groove such that the groove is open to an exterior of the cartridge via the opening, and an applicator releasably connectable to the clip assembly to move the clip assembly between the open and closed configurations, a distal portion of the applicator insertable through the opening of the cartridge to be connected to the clip assembly.

Reloadable mechanical device for ligating living tissue and achieving hemostasis

A stent delivery device having a locking mechanism. The device includes a handle assembly, an elongate inner member, and an elongate outer tubular member surrounding the elongate inner member. The handle assembly includes a handle attached to one of the inner member and the outer tubular member, and an actuator attached to the other of the inner member and the outer tubular member. Actuation of the actuator relative to the handle between a first position and a second position causes axial movement of the outer tubular member relative to the inner member. The locking mechanism has a locked position in which the actuator is prevented from moving from the first position to the second position and an unlocked position in which the actuator is permitted to move from the first position to the second position.

Stent delivery system

Some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a stent loading and delivery device, and methods for making and using the device. The device includes a handle assembly and an outer tubular member extending distally from the handle assembly. A proximal end of the outer tubular member is attached to a first handle of the handle assembly. The device includes an intermediate tubular member slidably disposed within the outer tubular member and an inner elongate member extending distally from the handle assembly within the intermediate tubular member. A stent constrainment mechanism is attached to a distal end of the intermediate tubular member and can receive a stent into a distal opening of the stent constrainment mechanism in an expanded state. Upon longitudinal actuation of the outer tubular member the stent constrainment mechanism collapses radially inward around the stent to constrain it within the outer tubular member.
