A pad for a garment includes a one piece structure comprising interconnected elements made from a compressible material. The elements are arranged such that, when the pad is in a non-deformed state, each element is spaced apart from adjacent elements by a void. The elements are interconnected such that, when the pad is deformed, a zigzag arrangement of at least three elements is formed and/or a void enclosed by at least two adjacent elements expands.

A multilayer fabric for selectively blocking or transmitting particular wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, such solar radiation, and far infrared (FIR) radiation. The multilayer fabric may include a microporous water vapor permeable layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths depending on the size of its pores. In some embodiments, the multilayer fabric may include a nanostructured layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths.

Described are articles of wear having a base layer, a plurality of cooling zones positioned on the base layer so that substantially all of the plurality of cooling zones are positioned adjacent regions of a wearer's body having highly efficient heat transfer properties of a wearer when worn, and cooling material contained within the plurality of cooling zones. The article of wear is configured to reduce a wearer's body heat content through heat transfer from each region having highly efficient heat transfer properties to each cooling zone when the cooling material is pre-cooled prior to wearing.

The first zone of the garment is arranged in the spine area and comprises a higher degree of air permeability than the second zone. The second zone of the garment is arranged below the breast area and in the area of the lumbar vertebrae and comprises a higher degree of moisture wicking than the first zone.

The invention relates to an article of footwear, in particular a sports shoe, wherein the article of footwear includes a ventilation system with at least one active ventilation element arranged in a midfoot area of the article of footwear. Furthermore, the article of footwear includes at least one air channel with an inlet and an outlet which are arranged in the sole area in the interior of the article of footwear. The active ventilation element is arranged such that air is sucked from the interior of the article of footwear through the inlet and is blown into the interior of article of footwear shoe through the outlet.
