The present invention pertains fasteners with critical configuration of the barbs, which allows the fasteners to be used in slots of various widths and panels of various thicknesses, and prevents rattling, which would take place in the case of fasteners of the present state of the art. The critical configuration is based on the special dimensions and special shape of the barbs with regard to the parts and the slots involved in assemblies of the fasteners and the parts. The present invention also pertains assemblies of miscellaneous parts connected together by means of the fasteners, as well as vehicles comprising such assemblies. In addition, the present invention comprises fasteners providing a combination of low barbs and high bent barbs, which combination prevents rattling of the fastener and allows secure attachment on a part, such as a sheet metal, for example.

Spring fastener having stabilizing barbs

A spring fastener characterized by a structure having a cavity in which the rib of a first part, such as a plastic panel for example, like a pillar, may be engaged, and is also suitable to be engaged reversibly in a slot of second part, such as a metal sheet for example, like the frame of a car. The spring fastener comprises engagement springs having a peak, engagement regions and-side cuts in the vicinity of the peak, preferably within the engagement regions. The side-cuts, of preferably triangular shape, increase considerably the lever/angle pulling force (pulling force applied on the first part and away from the spring fastener, in order to separate the first part from a second part connected together with the spring fastener). It is highly preferable that the fastener comprises barbs with inwardly bent front ends, and that the engagement regions further have hindrance portions, the combination of which highly improves the balance of insertion to removal ratio.

Spring fastener with highly improved lever/angle pulling force

A tether fastening device includes a tether clip and a strap to couple a first engagement structure, such as a vehicle chassis, and a second engagement structure, such as a body panel. The strap is coupled to the tether clip and couples the first engagement structure with the second engagement structure to allow for controlled detachment. When attached, the tether clip fastens the first engagement structure with the second engagement structure. For example, the tether clip and first engagement structure may detach from the second engagement structure; however, the strap controls the acceleration, speed and distance displaced between the first engagement structure and the second engagement structure. According to one embodiment, the tether clip may further include a tether cap integrated with the strap and a fastener clip operative to couple to the tether cap.

A fastener having a head and two expandable legs. The fastener further has a Y-shaped funnel configuration, which has been formed by a partial cut of the legs. The sides of the Y-shaped funnel comprise inwardly bent portions which are designed to extend into the slot of an object. The bent portions produce jamming and clamping when an expanding member is inserted through a hole on the head, resulting to highly improved pulling force. The fastener may be used in slots of different widths and may be pulled easily out of the slots, if so desired, in contrast with the fasteners of the present state in the art. Further, the fastener may be used in vehicles to connect one or more parts together.

Spring fastener of highly improved pulling force

This invention relates to a fastener, which expands by the insertion of an expanding member, preferably a screw. The fastener comprises a substantially flat head and two expandable legs. The head has an upper side and a lower side, preferably separated by a gap. The head also has a hole (round, oblong or otherwise shaped) in which the expanding body may engage or pass through for expanding the legs and securing one object to another object, such as a plastic panel to a metal sheet. The fastener also comprises a Y-shaped funnel configuration, which has been formed by a partial cut of the legs. Miscellaneous configurations of the Y shaped legs provide improved guidance to the expanding member, improved engagement to at least one of the objects, such as the metal sheet for example, and improved engagement to the expanding member, among other advantages. The fastener may also comprise portions under the upper side of the head, which portions are engageable to the expanding member. Further, the fastener of the present invention may comprise an elastic body at least under the head. This invention also relates to vehicles comprising parts connected by the fasteners of this invention.

Spring fastener with Y-shaped cut as funnel

This invention relates to a fastener, which expands by the insertion of an expanding member, preferably a screw through an engageable hole of the fastener. The fastener comprises a substantially flat head and two expandable legs. The head has an upper side and a lower side, preferably separated by a gap. The fastener has a hardness within a range which improves considerably the pulling force and allows the head of the fastener to be bowable upon applying said force on the expanding member, thus resulting in a gradual rather than abrupt failure. The engageable hole may be round or oblong. Additional engagement may be provided at lower portions of the fastener for improving pulling force and/or prevailing torque. Further, an elastic body may be integrally molded at least at the lower side of the head of the fastener, and preferably throughout the head of the fastener.

High pulling force fastener with bowable head

This invention relates to a fastener, which expands by the insertion of an expanding member, preferably a screw. The fastener comprises a substantially flat head and two expandable legs. The head has an upper side and a lower side, preferably separated by a gap. The head also has an oblong hole in which the expanding body engages for securing one object to another object. The oblong hole represents a plurality of regular generally round holes, so that it becomes easy for the fastener to be located in difficult positions of the objects to be connected. The oblong hole has sides on different planes, and each side has an edge. Preferably, at least one of the two edges contains arcs for better guidance of the expanding member. Additional engagement may be provided at lower portions of the fastener for improving pulling force and/or prevailing torque. Further, an elastic body may be integrally molded at least at the lower side of the head of the fastener, and preferably throughout the head of the fastener.

Extensive engagement fastener

A continuous or intermittent vehicular paint applicator for applying paint to a corrugated surface, has one of four types of a carriage body attached to a wheel-roller skid assembly or a wheel tractor belt assembly. The carriage body and wheel-roller assembly or tractor belt assembly serves as a vehicular base for screw attachment of the component parts of the paint applicator including handle means, an electric power assembly, a paint can hold base assembly with puncture and drain means, and a fixture for securing a paint dispenser in a fixed position relative to the carriage body. Skid guards attached to the carriage body in the wheel-roller assembly embodiments of the invention extend laterally between each set of side wheels and extend downwardly beyond the carriage body to a point 1/16th to 1/4th inch above the bottom of the wheels to minimize the fall of the vehicular paint applicator's wheels into the valleys of a corrugated surface no more than 1/4th of an inch.
