A forming apparatus comprises a frame. The frame defines a vertical axis, a horizontal axis, and a longitudinal axis. A carriage is movably connected to the frame. A first stomp foot is movably connected to the carriage such that it may move along the vertical axis. A second stomp foot is movably connected to the carriage such that it may move along the vertical axis. A first swing arm is movably connected to the carriage and a second swing arm, movably connected to the carriage, is laterally opposed from the first swing arm relative to the longitudinal axis. A method includes applying at least one ply of composite material over a forming surface of a forming tool and deforming the at least one ply of composite material over the forming surface of the forming tool with the forming apparatus.

Forming apparatus, method, and system

The disclosed forming apparatus includes a frame. The frame defines a vertical axis, a horizontal axis, and a longitudinal axis. A carriage is movably connected to the frame. A first stomp foot is movably connected to the carriage such that it may move along the vertical axis. A first end effector is movably connected to the carriage. The first end effector is controlled by an actuator. The disclosed method for forming a composite part includes applying at least one ply of composite material over a forming surface of a forming tool and deforming the at least one ply of composite material over the forming surface of the forming tool with a forming apparatus.

A congested network link is identified. Applications that are contributing to the congestion are also identified. The contribution of each of the identified applications to the congestion is then determined in order to determine whether the application's usage of the network should be throttled. A control signal is generated in order to indicate to the application that it is to perform an application-specific throttling operation to reduce the network bandwidth consumed by the application. If the application-specific throttling does not sufficiently reduce network congestion, a more aggressive throttling operation is performed.

Methods and systems are provided for switching protocols at a local client without having to delete the existing client account and without having to create a new client account that specifies the new protocol. The client an application executing on the client is configured with the capability to dynamically switch between protocols. For example, the client or an application executing on the client may employ a remote procedure call (RPC) protocol and may dynamically switch to a hypertext transfer (HTTP) protocol or vice versa upon request of the server.

Event handler records, for different event handlers in different domains, are stored in an event handler orchestrator service. The event handler records identify event handlers (in various domains) that are to handle events raised in separate domains. When an event is raised, the event handler records are filtered to identify an event handler that has indicated an interest in the raised event, and an end point corresponding to the identified event handler is provided back to the calling process. The calling process then invokes the event handler for which the end point is returned.

In-line event handlers across domains

Technologies are provided for a protocol for retrieving data from a remote server at a local client and establishing a context for the client at the server. A client may execute an application enabling users to receive data such as emails stored at the server. The client may employ a messaging-over hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) to request the data from the server. An HTTP POST request may incorporate specialized headers with instructions for data retrieval, and may enable the client to establish a context with the server to identify the client for subsequent data requests. After receipt of the POST request, the server may send a receipt response and chunked intermediary responses while the request is being processed. The server may also send a cookie to the client representing the context of the client, and the client may return the cookies with subsequent data requests to the server.

A method for forming a structural member and a structural member produced thereby includes positioning a first composite section and a second composite section within a tool. The tool has an inner surface and a wall intersection and is supported by a tool platform. The tool platform and a pressure platform are relatively movable between an open position and a closed position. The tool has a non-planar outer surface against which the member may be pressed. A composite splice member is positioned at least partially overlapping both the first composite section and the second composite section to form a joint in the composite structural member. The composite structural member is pressed against the non-planar outer surface of the tool by applying pressure to the joint from a pressure bladder. Heat is applied to the composite structural member at the joint to cure the composite splice member to the first composite section and the second composite section.

A system and method for improved client and server communications, more particularly, an improved protocol that may be used for communication between a client and a server, such as in an email environment. Many features are provided for improved communications. An email server may provide the best message body available for an email message, may transfer an entire data object if requested property or properties are not well defined within the data object, may provide progress data for use in tracking download progress, and may send error information for a data object having an error. Email changes may be optimized at an email server component, even if the email changes occurred at another email server component. An email server may maintain a table of changes that occur to folders at an associated data store, and may notify a subscribed email client component of changes that occur in the table.

System and method for improved synchronization between a server and a client

Embodiments herein change the way item syncing is handled and tracked between two devices. Changes to items are tracked in accordance with well defined property groups and each group is tracked independently of the other. For example, one group could contain large data items, e.g., attachments, while another group could include highly volatile properties like a follow-up flag. The present invention increases the sync rates between a client and a server by syncing only select portions of an item that have changed, without monitoring the change of each individual property within the item. Accordingly, if a change is made to a small data property (e.g., follow-up flag) on a relatively large email message, such change will not trigger a large download to a client running under a cached mode, nor will there be a requirement for high storage and processing for tracking each individual property.
