The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a peroxide containing tooth whitening composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the peroxide containing tooth whitening composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous peroxide containing tooth whitening compositions.

Applicator and method for applying a tooth whitening composition

The present application provides a beverage dispensing system for dispensing a number of beverages. The beverage dispensing system may include a housing, a pouch with one of the beverages therein, the pouch including a first pouch end and a second pouch end, and a beverage basket removably positionable within the housing. The beverage basket may include a pouch clip for the first pouch end and a slanted floor for the second pouch end such that the pouch may be positioned substantially vertically therein for good evacuation of the beverage from the pouch.

A beverage dispenser that is enabled for on demand, gravity fed dispensing of a pre-mixed or otherwise ready to drink beverage that has been thermally regulated through natural convection. More specifically, the beverage dispenser enables pre-mixed or otherwise ready to drink beverage containers (i.e., beverage containers with beverage contents that are pre-mixed or otherwise ready to drink) to be installed on the beverage dispenser and, without the aid of electricity or electro-mechanical devices, dispense a thermally regulated beverage on-demand to an intended customer. The beverage dispenser may comprise a thermal regulation compartment that facilitates regulating the temperature of beverage contents through natural convection. The beverage dispenser may also comprise a thermally regulated and thermally insulated beverage enclosure in which to install the beverage containers. The thermal regulation compartment may be carried within the beverage enclosure.

Beverage dispensing device

A thermally conductive polymeric drinking surface for a beverage container is provided. The thermally conductive polymeric drinking surface may be an insert for a bottle or other covering configured to be formed around the mouth of a drinking container, such as a cup. The high thermal conductivity of the drinking surface contributes to the transfer of the temperature of the contents of the container to the mouth or lips of the consumer by reducing the time and energy consumption of the chilling processes being applied via the beverage or an external cooling mechanism.

Beverage container drinking surface enhancement

The dispenser is comprised of a first hollow body and a second hollow body. The second hollow body fits into the first hollow body. The second hollow body has a closure at the open end. The second hollow body is maintained in the first hollow body by means of an interference fit. There also is at least one vent between the first hollow body and the second hollow body. The second hollow body will contain a medicament. In use the first hollow body and the second hollow body are separated, the lid on the closure of the second hollow body opened and a tablet dispensed into the first hollow body. A liquid such as water is added to the first hollow body to dissolve the tablet. This dissolved medicament is ingested in the usual way and the second hollow body placed back into the first hollow body.

Dispenser

There is disclosed a closure comprised of a valve, a base unit and an upper unit. The base unit has a base surface with a peripheral skirt. The base surface has an aperture with a cylindrical section extending above and below the base surface. The cylindrical section has an aperture therethrough. The upper unit has an upper surface and an aperture adapted to align with the aperture of the cylindrical section of said base unit. The upper unit has a lid to cover the apertures in the base unit cylindrical section and the upper unit. A lid inner top surface has two projecting seals, one to maintain the valve closed when the lid is closed and the other to provide a seal when the lid is closed. and a latch mechanism attaches the base unit to the upper unit. A preferred latch mechanism comprises a projection and an interfitting recess, one being on the base section and the other on the upper section. The lid top surface preferably has an essential horizontal top surface. In a preferred embodiment the valve is a polymeric valve located in the aperture between the base unit and the upper unit and held in place by contact with both the base unit and the upper unit. The rheology of the product in the container and the characteristics of the valve are coordinated so that the product will be fully contained by the valve regardless of the orientation of the container, including being inverted.

Closure

The dispensing of substances from multi-chamber containers, such as tubes, can be controlled by the placement of a flow modifying unit in the dispensing nozzle of the container. The dispensing nozzle will have a plurality of channels, usually one for each chamber. The flow controlling unit is a constriction at an intermediate point, a point between the channel inlet and exit, in at least one of the channels. This constriction is sized to adjust flow so that the viscous substance from each chamber is dispensed at a set flow rate and in a set ratio, one to the other. The constriction is formed at the time that the nozzle is formed. In the compression molding process a mold pin is used, the mold pin meeting a mold base at an intermediate point in at least one channel. The mold pin and or mold base has a recess that is the size and shape of the flow modifying constriction. Plastic is injected into the mold and the flow modifying unit is formed at the same time as the nozzle.
