A track assembly () is provided for use on an automotive seat assembly () for providing forward and rearward movement of a seat assembly within a comfort range (C) of seating positions and a forwardly extended position (D) in a vehicle. The track assembly comprises a lower track and an upper track slidably coupled to the lower track. A locking mechanism is coupled between the upper and lower tracks and moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position for selectively locking the upper track to the lower track. A seat dumping mechanism is operatively coupled to the upper track for automatically actuating the locking mechanism between the locked and unlocked positions to extend the track assembly between the forwardly extended position (D) and a predetermined position (E) within the comfort range (c).

Easy entry seat adjuster with mid position memory

A seat track assembly for adjusting a seat assembly of an automotive vehicle comprising a lower track having a first plurality of apertures, an upper track slidably mounted to the lower track and having a second plurality of apertures. A latch assembly is fixedly mounted to the upper track. The latch assembly includes a plurality of locking fingers projecting through the apertures in the upper track and adapted to be received in at least one of the apertures in the lower track. An actuator moves the fingers between a locked condition engaged with at least one of the apertures in the lower track and an unlocked condition spaced from each of the apertures in the lower track and a biasing member biases the fingers to the locked condition regardless of a relative position between the upper and lower tracks.

The flanges slidingly engage the peripheral side portions of the bracket along opposing sides of the aperture. The ring ( ) of the second member has an outer diameter which is less than the diameter of the aperture and the flanges ( ) having an outer diameter greater than the diameter of the aperture such that the attachment washer assembly is moveable within the preformed aperture for alignment with an aperture in the floor panel to receive a fastener therethrough and secure the bracket to the panel.

Floating attachment washer for a vehicle seat

A seat assembly for a vehicle having a seat cushion and an seat back pivotally connected to the seat cushion for movement between a plurality of reclined seating positions and a forwardly dumped position. A track assembly has a pair of upper tracks mounted to the seat cushion and a pair of lower tracks mounted to the floor of the vehicle. The upper tracks are slidably coupled to the lower tracks for providing sliding movement of the seat assembly between a full forward position and a full rearward position. A locking mechanism is operatively coupled to the upper and lower tracks for movement between a locked position interlocking the tracks and an unlocked position allow sliding movement therebetween. A cam plate is pivotally coupled to one of the upper tracks for movement between a non-actuated position spaced from the locking mechanism and a actuated position engaged with the locking mechanism for maintaining the locking mechanism in the unlocked position in response to pivotal movement of the seat back from the reclined seating position to the forwardly dumped position. A trigger arm interlocks with the cam plate in the actuated position to maintain the locking mechanism in the unlocked position and allow sliding movement of the seat assembly to a forwardly extended position beyond the full forward seating position. A trigger tab engages the trigger arm when the seat is returned from the forwardly extended position to the full rearward position to release the cam plate to the non-actuated position and allow the locking mechanism to return to the locked position interlocking the upper and lower tracks and preventing further sliding movement therebetween.

Easy entry seat track assembly

A vehicle seat has a mounting structure comprising a pair of interengaged tracks slidably mounting the vehicle seat and a pair of locking assemblies operatively associated with the tracks to selectively engage and disengage each of said interengaged tracks and a bi-directional actuation assembly. The bi-directional actuation assembly has a rotatably mounted handle. A roller is mounted on a pivotally mounted lever. The lever operatively connects the handle to the roller. A spring biases the roller to a neutral position. A cable is tensionally associated with each of the locking assemblies and extends over the roller. Rotation of the handle in either direction responsively moves the roller against the bias thereby tensioning the cable and moving both of the locking assemblies to a disengage position.
