Systems and methods are provided to implement features in the IEEE 802.11ad+/ay protocols by utilizing combinations of analog and digital precoding (such as hybrid mmWave precoding) to enable multi-stream/multi-user transmissions. These systems and methods are also suitable for 5G wireless networks, such as found in 3GPP. These systems and methods address performing general precoder design, reducing of beam-training overhead with leak wave antennas, performing single-stage approximate precoding with enhanced SLS for SU-MIMO transmissions (eSLS1), performing multi-stage approximate precoding with enhanced SLS for SU-MIMO transmissions (eSLS2), and performing exact precoding with enhanced SLS for SU-MIMO transmissions.

Systems and methods for single user hybrid MIMO for mmWave wireless networks

A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. Method and apparatus for power control of sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission

A method for multiple access point (AP) transmission is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a repetition beacon from each of a plurality of APs, each received repetition beacon comprising a common information part and an AP-specific information part; decoding at least a subset of the received common information parts to obtain a first parameter; decoding the received AP-specific information parts to obtain a second parameter for each of the plurality of APs; performing a calculation based on the first parameter, the obtained second parameters and a number of the plurality of APs to obtain a calculation result; and transmitting a feedback based on the calculation result to the plurality of AP.

Systems and methods for multi-AP transmission with uniform coverage

Techniques, devices and systems are disclosed for generating a resource request poll comprising at least one response criteria, transmitting the resource request poll, receiving a resource request report from STAs that meet at least one response criteria. A trigger frame may be transmitted to the at least one STA based on the resource request report from the at least one STA. Methods and apparatuses are described herein for rediscovery and medium access for wake-up radios. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive, via a first transceiver, a frame that includes a wake-up radio (WUR) operation element having a first counter value. The WTRU may deactivate the first transceiver and activate a second transceiver, wherein the first transceiver enters into a doze state and the second transceiver is in an awake state. The WTRU may then receive, via the second transceiver in the awake state, a WUR frame that includes a second counter value indicating an update of a plurality of basic server set (BSS) parameters associated with the first transceiver. On a condition that the second counter value is different than the first counter value, the WTRU may activate the first transceiver to update the plurality of BSS parameters, wherein the first transceiver enters into an awake state.

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for HARQ signaling and communications in wireless networks. For example, a method implemented in a STA comprises receiving a first MU transmission including a first set of HARQ bits, a first set of user data for STAs including the STA, a preamble including information indicating that the MU transmission includes the first set of HARQ bits, and a first set of HARQ Process IDs associated with the first set of HARQ bits; determining a subset of HARQ bits of the first set of HARQ bits; transmitting a response message indicating a reception status of the subset of HARQ bits; and receiving a second MU transmission including a second set of HARQ bits, a second set of user data for the plurality of STAs, and a second set of HARQ Process IDs associated with the second set of HARQ bits.

A method performed by a station (STA) for operating in a wireless local area network (WLAN) is provided. The method includes communicating, in an operation mode, with devices in the WLAN including another STA and transmitting, to the another STA, one or more of a data frame or a management frame including a medium access control (MAC) header. A method for use in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) is disclosed. Methods and apparatuses are described herein for feedback based midamble adaptation. For example, a first station (STA) may transmit, to a second STA, a request frame that includes an indicator indicating a request for midamble information. The first STA may receive, from the second STA, a response frame that includes the midamble information determined by the second STA based on one or more channel measurements associated with the second STA. The midamble information may include a midamble report, a Doppler measurement report, or the like. Methods and apparatuses are described herein for network discovery. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit, to a first access point (AP), via a Primary Connectivity Radio (PCR), a request indicating that on a condition that the WTRU is disassociated from the first AP, the WTRU will enter a wake-up radio (WUR) only discovery mode. The WTRU may receive, from the first AP, via the PCR, a management frame that has WUR discovery elements including an indication of at least one channel used by a second AP. The WTRU may perform disassociation from the first AP. The WTRU may activate a WUR and deactivate the PCR. On a condition that the WTRU is disassociated from the first AP, the WTRU may receive, from the second AP, via the WUR, a WUR frame over the at least one channel to enable the WTRU to activate the PCR to initiate association.

Methods and apparatuses for channel access and recovery wake-up radios

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for rediscovery and medium access for wake-up radios. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive, via a first transceiver, a frame that includes a wake-up radio (WUR) operation element having a first counter value. A method and apparatus are provided for updating a sequence hopping (SH) pattern of an uplink channel during handover from a current cell having a current SH pattern. A method may include receiving, from a base station associated with current cell, a transmission including information indicating a handover command that instructs the WTRU to handover to a target cell. The handover command may include information indicating a SH enablement indication and a SH parameter. The SH enablement indication may indicate that SH is enabled for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission. A PUCCH transmission may be sent to a base station associated with the target cell, and the PUCCH transmission may include symbols derived from a sequence that is based on the SH parameter.
