A rocker for supporting an infant or other item includes a carrier assembly and a support assembly. The carrier assembly has a support platform. The support assembly is disposed below the carrier assembly is operable to selectively impart motion to the carrier assembly in a plurality of different motion patterns. The motion patterns can include one or more of translation along a first linear direction, translation along a second linear direction perpendicular to the first linear direction, yaw relative to a first axis, pitch relative to a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, roll about a third axis that is perpendicular to the first and second axes, and elevation changes relative to the support assembly.

A bottom mount household refrigerator is provided with an apparatus to permit the dispensing of ice. According to one embodiment, a sealed ice making compartment is provided within the fresh food compartment. The sealed ice making compartment may be located at the bottom, at the top, or along a side wall within the fresh food compartment. According to another embodiment, ice is made in the ice compartment, and lifted upward to a dispensing location through the door of the fresh food compartment.

Apparatus and method for dispensing ice from a bottom mount refrigerator

The present invention provides a Christmas tree stand that is self-watering and rotatable. The self-watering system, that rotates with the tree, mainly includes a water reservoir, a hose, a water tank that holds on to the lower end of the tree, and a valve mechanism that automatically keeps the water in the water tank at optimum level. A rotatable tank assembly is driven by an electric drive motor on a stationary support assembly. Electrical power is passed from the stationary support assembly to the rotatable tank assembly through a slipping-ring connector. In the preferred embodiment, a remote control is provided to supply power for rotation of the rotatable tank assembly, including the tree, and the power receptacle on the rotatable tank assembly for suitable electrical loads, e.g., decorative lights, separately.

A baffle that can be used in an oven includes, according to one embodiment, a fan, a catalyst, a heater between the fan and the catalyst, and/or a support structure. The support structure supports the fan, the catalyst, and/or the heater. The fan is arranged to circulate air over the heater and/or the catalyst. The support structure includes, for example, a wing, which, if used, is arranged to deflect circulating air.

A warming drawer has a cabinet defining a cavity and a tray that slides into and out of the cavity. An infrared heating lamp is positioned within the cabinet to heat the cavity, and a fan is supported by the cabinet and is configured to circulate air from the cavity to the infrared heating lamp and back into the cavity. A controller is supported by the cabinet and controls the infrared heating lamp and the fan.

The icemaker presented here may use a microcontroller, and solid state refrigeration and heat transfer elements to create ice cube qualities ranging from 'clear ice' to 'fast ice' in a smooth, user selectable continuum. In one embodiment, this may be accomplished by fitting a standard, high production volume icemaker mold with (1) thermoelectric coolers operated in a controlled fashion to heat or cool the mold, (2) a mold temperature sensor (such as a thermistor), and (3) a microcontroller to monitor the process and to adjust the growth rate of ice forming in the mold by adjusting heat transfer rates to optimize particular cooling phases.

Variable rate and clarity ice making apparatus

A temperature controlled compartment apparatus in the form of a kitchen drawer mounted in an interior compartment that is heated or cooled by one or more thermoelectric heat pump modules in a housing surrounding the drawer. A fan circulates air from the drawer past each thermoelectric heat pump module for either heating or cooling the air for the drawer and another fan or fans circulates external air past each thermoelectric heat pump module for cooling or heating, respectively, that external air. Heating or cooling is selected by selecting the polarity of the DC electric source provided to each thermoelectric heat pump module.

Temperature controlled compartment apparatus

An electric heating element for the bottom of a cooking oven. The heating element has a unique shape or pattern in plan view that includes two narrow loops or arms extending toward the rear corners of the oven and two wider loops or arms extending toward the front corners of the oven with the narrow loops joined to the wider loops by concave side portions and the two wider loops joined in the front by a concave portion. The extremities of the four loops are closely spaced from the rear wall and two walls of the oven. This shape and size creates more uniform heating throughout the oven cavity than conventional heating elements of different shapes or patterns.
