A system for applying a novel odor abating solution to an odor-emitting surface includes a storage compartment comprising a solution of iodine having a concentration of at least 0.0005% by total weight of the solution of I; a misting system having mist nozzles that are supported over the odor-emitting surface, creating an aerial environment between the odor-emitting surface and the mist nozzles; misting nozzles configured to spray droplets of the solution into the aerial environment over the odor-emitting surface so that, in absence of any air movement exceeding 1 kilometer/hour, at least 75% of the droplets are suspended in the aerial environment over the odor-emitting surface for at least 10 seconds, allowing at least 1% by weight of the Iin the solution to react with emitted odor before the 75% of the droplets are deposited on the odor-emitting surface. The odor-emitting surface may be within a waste transfer station.

Liquid iodine mist treatment of separated odor-emitting dry waste within a waste management facility

A litter composition is used in the absorption of animal wastes with aqueous content in the waste. The composition may include: a particulate water-absorbing solids carrier; two solid particles of separate salts that will react in the presence of water to generate molecular iodine; and a solid acid releasing system that releases acid in the presence of the water generating iodine in sufficient amount to maintain a pH of between 3.5 and 7.5 with the reacted residue of the two solid particles and the released acid in the water.

A toilet installation kit and method of using thereof, containing pre-measured and disposable toilet installation components. The toilet installation kit includes a gasket for sealingly engaging a toilet to a closet flange and a connecting assembly including at least one flange bolt and corresponding washer and nut or nut caps for fastening the toilet to the closet flange. The toilet installation components include a predetermined measure of aggregate to be mixed with a corresponding measure of solution to form a settling compound for stabilizing the toilet to a floor surface. The components also include a tray having an interior for combining the pre-determined measure of aggregate and corresponding measure of solution therein, wherein the tray includes indicia indicating the corresponding measure of solution to be combined with the aggregate. Also included is a mixing or spreading instrument used for agitating the aggregate and solution to form the settling compound within the interior of the tray and for applying the settling compound to the floor surface.

Toilet installation kit

A toilet deodorizer includes a deodorizer cake and a one-piece plastic framework having two leg portions with lower ends within the cake and extending upwardly therefrom to upper ends that merge with horizontal portions perpendicular to the leg portions. The framework also has a U-shaped portion depending from the horizontal portions. The framework is somewhat springy so that the U-shaped portion can be resiliently flexed away from the leg portions to allow the framework to straddle an upper rim of a toilet bowl with the U-shaped portion on one side of the rim and the leg portions and the cake on the other side of the rim within the toilet bowl. The framework is symmetrical with respect to a plane equidistant from the horizontal portions and parallel thereto. The framework has a top piece or strip member joining the horizontal portions and extending equally therebeyond to free ends. The length of the strip member is about 7 inches (17.8 cm) and the length of the leg portions is about 3 inches (7.6 cm).
