An electronic device, a system, a method, and a program for externally adding voice control functionality to another device are disclosed. The electronic device includes memory, a processor, an audio input interface, a first communication interface, a second communication interface, and an audio encoder. First return audio data is received by the first communication interface from a sink device. An audio signal corresponding to a voice command is received by the audio input interface from a transducer. The audio signal is encoded by the audio encoder to obtain second return audio data. The second return audio data is output by the second communication interface to a source device. The second return audio data is encoded by an audio encoder of the source device to obtain control data. A function of the source device is controlled based on the control data.

Electronic device, system, method and program for externally adding voice control functionality to another device

Methods, systems, and computer readable media described herein can be operable to facilitate transitioning a device from a first state to a second state. A switch described herein allows for the use of an electronic circuit to perform the toggle and persistence functions while simultaneously giving more flexibility to the industrial design and physical switch implementation. The switch allows this preserving of the state using only a toggle on a voltage and thus allowing for a hardware only solution. The switch described herein allows for the use of smaller and less complicated mechanical switches allowing for more compact industrial designs. The switch uses a programmable voltage reference as a 1 bit non-volatile memory cell that is programmed by means of a logic pulse to the device. This allows a software independent setting of the state of the privacy switch. This state will remain through power cycles.

Electronic persistent switch

The present invention provides an on-screen graphics (OSD) subsystem for overlaying OSD graphic images onto analog or digital video source signals. The OSD system has a video graphics bypass path and graphics bypass switch for directing an analog video channel around the OSD subsystem during time intervals when the OSD subsystem is not required to insert graphics into the source signal.
