A vapor provision system comprising a heating element for generating vapor from a liquid vapor precursor material and a wick for transporting liquid vapor precursor material from a reservoir to the heating element. The vapor provision system further comprises a user activation mechanism for signaling the user's intent to start vapor generation and configured to be actuated by a user and control circuitry configured to supply a constant average voltage power to the heating element in response to a signal output from the user activation mechanism. The control circuitry is configured to supply the constant average voltage power to the heating element regardless of the temperature of the heating element.

Vapor provision system and corresponding method

A cartridge is provided for use with an apparatus for heating smokable material. The cartridge has a housing defining a chamber and a pouch containing smokable material. The pouch is located within the chamber. At least part of the pouch is made of porous material for permitting aerosol or volatilized material generated within the pouch to pass out of the pouch from within the pouch. There is also provided a pouch having a first wall and a second wall. The pouch contains smokable material between the first wall and the second wall. A method of manufacturing a pouch is also disclosed in which the first wall is attached to the second wall with smokable material between the first wall and second wall.

Described herein is a cartridge for use with apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The cartridge comprises a housing defining a chamber, smokable material located in the chamber, and a mass of thermal insulation material located between the smokable material and the housing. Also disclosed is apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The apparatus comprises an assembly having an interface, and the cartridge, wherein the cartridge is for co-operating with the interface of the assembly.

At least one of a vapor and an aerosol formed by the volatized liquid is passed through one or more of the plurality of discrete material elements. One or more constituents of the one or more of the plurality of discrete material elements is thereby entrained in the at least one of a vapor and an aerosol to produce the inhalable medium.

Apparatus and methods for generating an inhalable medium are disclosed. An apparatus includes a container for holding a liquid, a heater for volatilizing liquid held in the container to generate a flow of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol in use, and a receptacle for receiving material. The receptacle is located adjacent to the heater such that in use, material received in the receptacle is heated by the heater. One or more constituents of material received in the receptacle in use are mixed with the flow of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol in use to produce the inhalable medium.

A component for an inhalation device having a first end for connection to a body of an inhalation device and a second end. A passage extends through the component from the first end to the second end for the flow of inhalant therethrough. The first end includes a blind cavity, separate to the passage and containing an organoleptic material. Also, an inhalation device comprising a body with a first end connected to such a component of the inhalation device and, a second end configured to receive an inhalant-generating component, is disclosed. A conduit extends through the body between the first and second ends.
