This disclosure relates to tools for optimizing complex processes or systems, such as flow process charts and, more specifically to the automatic graphical renderings of processes. In an exemplary embodiment, the process is a complex process including hundreds or thousands of operations. In an exemplary embodiment, a device displays a first view that includes a complete progression diagram automatically generated from data stored in a database, and at least some directional lines of the complete progression diagram unintelligibly overlap. In response to a selection of a particular operation in the complete progression diagram, in an exemplary embodiment, the display toggles to a second view that includes a focus diagram. In an exemplary embodiment, an edit to the focus diagram is checked in real-time and rejected if the edit orphans of an object currently undergoing the process on a live production line.

Automatically generated and updated graphical rendering of processes

Methods and devices are provided for repairing a damaged contact pad that is located on a first surface of a printed circuit board and connected to a via that passes through the circuit board. According to the method, a countersink hole is created in the first surface of the printed circuit board in a location that is substantially centered on an axis passing through the via, and a replacement structure is inserted into the countersink hole. The replacement structure has a stem portion, a head portion, and a shoulder portion that connects the stem and head portions, with the angle of the shoulder portion substantially matching the angle of the shoulder of the countersink hole. The stem portion of the replacement structure is permanently attached to sidewalls of the via so as to electrically couple the head portion of the replacement structure to the via.

Method and device for repair of a contact pad of a printed circuit board

A paint applicator for use on a railing and on a picket fence. The applicator is formed of an L-shaped member having a base wall and an upright wall. The upright wall integrally continues from its distal end into a projecting portion which extends in a direction away from the base wall. Paint applying material is affixed to the interior surface of the base wall, the upright wall and the projecting portion. A handle depends from the base wall in opposition to the upright wall. A point wiping apparatus is also included which includes a pair of clips insertable in diametric opposition into the rim of a paint can. A rod is received within the clips and spans the paint can. Upon extraction of the paint applicator, the excess paint is wiped off the applicator and drips back into the can.
