The method can include changing, in response to the determining, a state of the authorization card from an inactive state to an active state. A method, system and computer program product for obtaining vector representations of code snippets capturing semantic similarity. A first and second training set of code snippets are collected, where the first training set of code snippets implements the same function representing semantic similarity and the second training set of code snippets implements a different function representing semantic dissimilarity. A vector representation of a first and second code snippet from either the first or second training set of code snippets is generated using a machine learning model. A loss value is generated utilizing a loss function that is proportional or inverse to the distance between the first and second vectors in response to receiving the first and second code snippets from the first or second training set of code snippets, respectively. The machine learning model is trained to capture the semantic similarity in the code snippets by minimizing the loss value.

A system and method for recommending whether to upgrade dependencies of a software project includes mining historical software data artifacts associated with a plurality of software projects to extract a plurality of metrics and dependency version lineages from the historical software data artifacts, clustering the software projects based on the metrics and the dependency version lineages, extracting target metrics and a target version lineage of a target software project selecting a software project cluster from the plurality of clusters that best matches the target software project, analyzing the metrics for each of the software projects included in the at least one software project cluster to determine that a measurable change to the metrics occurred as a result of upgrading dependencies of the software projects, and recommending which software dependencies of the target software project should be upgraded based on the measurable change to the metrics of the software projects.

An apparatus, system, and process are disclosed for maintaining data in an electronic storage array during multiple, concurrent drive failures. A first drive failure is recognized and the storage system controller subsequently enters a first operating mode. The storage system controller then recognizes a second drive failure and enters a second operating mode, which is different from the first operating mode, in response to the second drive failure. The second operating mode allows the storage system controller and a recovery module to access the data of the second failed drive in a controlled manner in order to attempt to recover the data on the first failed drive. Also, a pinned data module may allow write data to be written to a pinned data drive, instead of a failed drive, while the storage system controller is operating in the second operating mode.

The present invention is directed to a system in method implemented in a data storage system that provides a status corresponding to a command initiated by a host server to the host server within a guaranteed maximum command response time. In one aspect, the system and method of the present invention accomplish this by associating a time stamp with the command before it is distributed to a number of data storage devices to be executed. The progress of the command's execution is monitored at an interval less than the maximum command response time. If the present invention determines that the command will not complete within the maximum command response time, the system method of the present invention sends a corresponding status to the host server.

The present invention ensures system configuration data structure coherency across multiple controllers in a data storage system. To accomplish this, a controller that detects any change in the system configuration of the data storage system, must first reserve a predetermined device before it can modify its own system configuration data structure, and before it can notify any other controllers of the change, such that they can modify their respective system configuration data structures. After such modifications the detecting controller will release the reservation of the predetermined device. In this manner, updates to each respective controller's system configuration data structure are synchronized, ensuring system configuration data structure coherency across multiple controllers in the data storage system.
