An anatomically configured tubular body or ribbon of woven or knitted elastomeric yarn having concentrated pressure support means at one or more areas along said device for pressure support of an ankle, elbow, knee or wrist (hereinafter also &ldquo;articulating appendage&rdquo;). The device of this invention can include an anatomically configured tubular composite, comprising an essentially uniform sleeve of elastomeric yarn and a pressure concentrating means corresponding to one or more areas of said articulating appendage (hereafter also &ldquo;pressure points&rdquo;), so as to focus or concentrate pressure support at said pressure points. The device thus provides for both ease of attachment to the appendage and of application of differential (increased or focused) pressures to a pressure point of the affected appendage.

An apparatus for converting the energy of the ocean's surf into electricity, which comprises a buoyant body that floats on the surface of the water and rises and falls with the waves, at a fixed and predetermined distance from the shore. Fixed securely to the buoyant body, is a horizontally extending shaft, in such a manner that it bears a constant height above the water's surface, regardless of water amplitude variation, and/or height of tide. Connected to the shaft are blades which are rotably mounted. Said blades will intercept the ocean at a point where the surf breaks, and shall receive the energy produced from the breaking wave. Said energy shall be converted into mechanical energy by driving the blades in motion, which in turn rotates the shaft. An electric power generator is drivingly connected to the shaft, whereby producing electricity.

Surf-driven electrical apparatus

Sprayable, pre-mixed, mine sealant compositions having enhanced strength properties and capable of retarding flame propagation and suppressing combustibility of substrate materials are disclosed in three general forms. In the first form, an alkaline silicate material such as sodium silicate is employed with perlite and a mineral acid in order to provide the above properties. In a second formulation, the first form is augmented by white pigments. In a third formulation, additional bulking materials e.g., cellulose are added to provide enhanced structural integrity and mine sealant qualities.

Mine sealant composition

A component to facilitate the hand fabrication of decorative wreaths comprising a flat annular member, preferably molded or vacuum formed of plastic. A plurality of integrally formed bridges extend radially from the surface of the annular member at substantially uniform distances apart. The bridges are spaced from the planar surface of the annular member to permit stems of fir twigs or picks to be inserted underneath. In use, a plurality of picks are attached to the component by sliding the stem of a twig under the cross member of a bridge with the other end of the twig overlying the next adjacent bridge. Twigs are arranged around the entire circumference of the annual member in shingle-like fashion to form a conventionally appearing decorative tree wreath.
