A fluid coupling includes a body, a poppet valve assembly, a handle shaft assembly, and a retention member. The body has a fluid conduit, a through-hole extending through a sidewall, and one or more openings that extend between an external surface of the body and an interior of the through hole. The poppet valve assembly is disposed within the fluid conduit and is selectively movable between an open position and a closed position. The handle shaft assembly extends through the through-hole and into the fluid conduit and is interconnected with the poppet valve assembly such that the handle shaft assembly can be actuated to move the poppet valve assembly between the open position and the closed position. The retention member is insertable through the one or more openings and into the through-hole to interact with the handle shaft assembly to selectively hold the handle shaft assembly in the body.

Coupler with quick release handle and valve assemblies

A breakaway coupling includes a body and a valve assembly inside the body. The body includes a fluid conduit and a shear groove between first and second portions. The shear groove is designed to crack, break, or separate under certain conditions. The valve assembly is designed to shut off fluid flow through the fluid conduit when the shear groove cracks, breaks, or separates. The valve assembly includes a valve seat, a sealing element, one or more pins, and a biasing member. The one or more pins hold the sealing element in an open position while the shear groove is in tack, and allow the sealing element to move to a closed position (with the help of the biasing member) in the event the shear groove cracks, breaks, or separates.

Breakaway coupling

A fluid system coupling includes an adaptor, a coupler, and an actuation mechanism. The adaptor has an adaptor poppet that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The adaptor poppet has a poppet face that is substantially planar and devoid of any recesses. The coupler has a coupler poppet that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The coupler poppet has a poppet face that is substantially planar and avoid of any recesses. The actuation mechanism selectively moves the poppets from the closed positions to the open positions.

Fluid system coupling with internal valves

Lock down units and loading arms with lock down units are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a loading arm includes a product delivery pipe pivotally coupled to a product standpipe such that the product delivery pipe is rotatable in a vertical plane. A rocker assembly is coupled to the product delivery pipe. A support arm may be pivotally connected to the product standpipe and slidably coupled to the rocker assembly such that the support arm and the rocker assembly are slidable with respect to one another. The support arm comprises a plurality of slots. A locking pawl is affixed to the rocker assembly and selectively engagable with the slots such that, when the locking pawl is engaged with a slot of the support arm, the locking pawl couples the support arm to the rocker assembly, thereby preventing the product delivery pipe from being raised in the vertical plane.

A handle shaft assembly includes a tube spacer, a handle shaft, a stuff box, and an operational handle. The stuff box may be configured for insertion into a through-hole within a bottom loading coupler body and include first and second stuff box ends defining a cylindrical cavity. A first sealing member may be positioned on the first stuff box end, and a second sealing member positioned on the second stuff box end. The tube spacer may be configured to be positioned within a blind counterbore of the bottom loading coupler body. The handle shaft may include a first end positioned within the tube spacer configured to be positioned with a blind bore of the bottom loading coupler body, a linkage section configured to be coupled to a drive linkage of a poppet valve assembly, and a second end extending through the cylindrical cavity of the stuff box. The operational handle is mechanically coupled to the second end of the handle shaft.
