A magnetic circuit device () for a magnetic-inductive flowmeter, having a coil () that has a coil core (). The magnetic circuit device () enables an increased range of application, in that it can be flexibly adapted to the geometries of the respective magnetic flow meter due to the fact that the coil core () is designed to be flexible in such a way that the coil () can be bent from a first shape into a second shape. In addition, a method () for manufacturing such a magnetic circuit device () involves the steps of provisioning, winding, heating, connecting, bending and fixing of the coil.

Magnetic circuit device for a magnetic-inductive flowmeter and method for manufacturing a magnetic circuit device

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter with a measuring tube for guiding an electrically conductive medium, a magnetic circuit device running outside the measuring tube for generating and guiding a magnetic field through the measuring tube, and two electrodes for tapping a measuring voltage induced in the medium. The magnetic circuit device has at least a first coil for generating the magnetic field and first and second pole piece plates, the magnetic field being formed between the pole piece plates, wherein the measuring tube is arranged between the two pole piece plates and wherein the electrodes are arranged on opposite sides of the measuring tube, an imaginary connecting line between the two electrodes running perpendicular to the direction of flow and perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. The magnetic field is fed into the pole piece plates by at least two feed-in regions per pole piece plate.

Magnetic-inductive flowmeter and magnetic circuit device

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter for determining the flow of at least one medium, having first and second parallel measuring tubes for guiding the at least one medium, a magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic field permeating the measuring tubes perpendicular to the flow direction of the at least one medium, first and second electrode pairs for respectively tapping a first and second measuring voltage induced in the medium, and an evaluation unit for evaluating the measuring voltages. Increased reliability in functioning of the flowmeter and the determined flow and flow difference values is achieved by the first and second electrode pairs being formed together by a first, second and third electrodes, the second electrode being both part of the first electrode pair and part of the second electrode pair and being arranged between the two measuring tubes. The electrodes are arranged perpendicular to the flow and magnetic field directions.

A magnetically-inductive flow-measuring device, with a measuring tube for guiding an electrically-conductive medium, with a coil for generating a magnetic field that at least partially runs through the measuring tube and with a magnetic circuit device for guiding the magnetic field outside of the measuring tube, the magnetic circuit device has at least one coil core, a first yoke element, a second yoke element, a first pole piece and a second pole piece, the coil core is arranged inside the coil and the measuring tube is arranged between the first pole piece and the second pole piece. To provide a magnetically-inductive flow-measuring device with a magnetic circuit device, the magnetic circuit device is made from an at least partially bent sheet element or from multiple at least partially bent sheet elements.

Magnetically-inductive flow-measuring device, magnetic circuit device and method for the production of a magnetic circuit device

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter, having a plurality of functional units and a housing common to all the functional units, wherein each functional unit has a measuring tube, a magnetic field generating device, and two measuring electrodes, and wherein a virtual connecting line of the two measuring electrodes extends at least substantially at right angles to the direction of the magnetic field penetrating the measuring tube at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the measuring tube. In the housing, there is a common medium feed connection for the measuring tubes of all the functional units, a common power supply for the magnetic field generating device of all the functional units, and a common evaluation unit for the measuring electrodes of all the functional units. The magnetic field generating device has a field coil adjoined on both sides by a magnetic field guide part extending at right angles to the coil axis.

A method for operating a magnetic-inductive flow meter in which the presence of a parasitic magnetic field is detected energizing of electromagnets with at least one first current value and at least one second current value. The measuring apparatus determines first and second measured values from energizing of the electromagnets with the first and second measured values and a first pair of measured values is formed from the first current value and the first measured value and a second pair of measured values is formed from the second current value and the second measured value, the correspondence of the pairs of measured values and of the function of permeability is determined. If correspondence of the pairs of measured values and of the function of permeability is not found that fact is signaled, the lack of correspondence being due to the at least partial presence of a parasitic magnetic field.

Method for operating a magnetic-inductive flow meter with a measuring apparatus for determining measured values which reproduce the field intensity of the electrical field which has been induced by the magnetic field in the flowing medium

An electromagnetic flowmeter for mass flow measurement of a flowing medium having a measuring tube (1), a magnetic field generator for generating a magnetic field that at least partially passes through the measuring tube (1), two magnetic coils (2), and two electrodes for tapping into a measurement voltage induced in the flowing medium. The measuring tube (1) is designed as an integrally molded metal pipe or as a metal pipe produced integrally by hydroforming. Preferably, the measuring tube has a wall thickness that is smaller at a mid-section than at its ends, and reinforcing ribs in the mid-section.

Electromagnetic flowmeter having a measuring tube with varying cross section and wall thickness

A fill-level detector operating by the radar principle gauges the fill-level of the lower of two substances layered one atop the other in a container. The detector incorporates first and second essentially straight, parallel electrical conductors having a signal generator and a transducer mounted to the upper ends of the conductors with the lower ends of the conductors protruding into the lower substance. The generator delivers a signal to the first conductor which signal is conducted into the lower substance with a portion of that signal being reflected at the interface of the two substances which signal portion is captured by the transducer. The detector is able to determine to fill level of the lower substance even when the upper substance displays a high dielectric constant.
