Systems and methods are disclosed for monitoring a voltage received by a data storage device. A connection cable or data storage device may include a power monitoring module monitor the voltage received by the data storage device. The power monitoring module may provide an indication of whether voltage received by the data storage device is within a range of voltages.

A wireless handset, electronic device, and method for associating a text-based file identifier with a captured image using a voice recognition module are presented. The wireless handset or electronic device includes a camera, a memory, a microphone, a processor and a means for associating the text-based file identifier with the image that was captured by the camera. The memory stores the plurality of images captured by the camera. The microphone receives a plurality of voice messages. The processor records the voice messages and converts the voice message to a text-based file identifier at approximately the same time as when the image was captured by the camera.

An exemplary device comprises a portable electronic device having a processor communicably coupled with a memory and a control arm, and an enclosure housing the memory and processor and defining a reference surface that defines a reference axis. The control arm has a deployed and a stowed configuration where the control arm length, as measured along the reference axis, is reduced in the stowed configuration.

An exemplary battery pack comprises a battery cell having a first terminal and a second terminal disposed on a first end of the battery cell. A support member is attached to the first end of the battery cell, and a first L-shaped contact is connected to the first terminal via a protection circuit module. The protection circuit module is configured to disconnect the first terminal from the L-shaped contact upon a disconnect event. A second L-shaped contact connected to the second terminal, and a top cover encloses the first end of the battery cell, the support member and the protection circuit module. The first and second L-shaped contacts are exposed through corresponding apertures in the top cover, and a label including a body section and first, second, third and fourth flap sections is wrapped around the battery cell such that at least one of the flap sections secures the top cover to the battery cell. A cutout area can be provided on one of the flap sections to expose the L-shaped contacts for interfacing with device or connector contacts.

An electronic data connector of a wireless communication device for receiving a male section of a different electronic connector includes an electronic data connector receptacle universal to different electronic connectors and having a female section with a recess for receiving the male section of the different electronic connectors. A changeable connector key is carried by the electronic data connector receptacle and includes one or more positive material obstructions that obstruct one or more portions of the recess of the female section so that only an electronic connector with a male section configured to accommodate the positive material obstructions will mate with the electronic data connector receptacle.
