Embodiments are directed to a blood pressure measurement device including a cuff that is operative to wrap around a limb of a user, a bladder coupled to the cuff and operative to compress the limb of the user when inflated, and a piezoelectric sensor coupled to the cuff and operative to detect blood flow through the limb of the user and output a signal indicative of the blood flow. The blood pressure measurement device can also include a processor coupled with the piezoelectric sensor that is operative to filter the signal to isolate sounds corresponding to changes in the blood flow through the limb due to inflation of the bladder, correlate the isolated sounds with a pressure inside the bladder, and determine a blood pressure of the user at least partially based on correlating the isolated sounds with the pressure.

Disclosed is a system for detecting a water leak, the system including: a sensor that can generate sensor signals and a computer system that can receive and process the sensor signals to detect a water leak. In response to detecting the leak, the computer system can send a state change command to a valve control device, which can be configured to change a state of a solenoid valve according to the state change command. In response to detecting the leak, the computer system can transmit information to a mobile device over a communication network, the information including (i) an indication of the state change command and/or (ii) an indication that the water leak was detected. The mobile device can present the transmitted information in a graphical user interface (GUI), present a selectable option, and receive a user selection of the selectable option, which causes an action to be performed.

A method and apparatus of automatically locating in an image of a blood vessel the lumen boundary at a position in the vessel and from that measuring the diameter of the vessel. From the diameter of the vessel and estimate blood flow rate, a number of clinically significant physiological parameters are then determine and various user displays of interest generated. One use of these images and parameters is to aid the clinician in the placement of a stent. The system, in one embodiment, uses these measurements to allow the clinician to simulate the placement of a stent and to determine the effect of the placement. In addition, from these patient parameters various patient treatments are then performed.

Embodiments are directed to systems and techniques for tracking menstrual cycles, which can include receiving temperature measurements from an array of temperature sensors positioned on a bed. A use period for the array can be determined when temperature measurements from at least one temperature sensor of the one or more temperature sensors exceed a first temperature threshold. In some embodiments, for each use period in a set of two or more use periods, a temperature of the user using the set of temperatures from the respective use period can be determined. After determining the temperature of the user for each use period in the set of two or more use periods, at least one change in the temperature of the user between different use periods can be identified. An ovulation day of the user based on the at least one change in the temperature of the user can be estimated.

Disclosed are systems and methods for providing distributed security event monitoring. The system can include a central monitoring system and sensor devices positioned throughout a premises that passively detect conditions and emit signals guiding people on the premises when a security event is detected. The sensor devices can include suites of sensors and can transmit detected conditions to the central monitoring system. The central monitoring system can combine the detected conditions to generate a collective of detected conditions, determine whether the collective of detected conditions exceeds expected threshold conditions, identify a security event on the premises based on the collective of detected conditions, classify the security event using machine learning models, generate instructions to produce audio or visual output at the sensor devices that notifies people on the premises about the security event, and transmit the instructions to the sensor devices to emit signals indicating information about the security event.

Building security and emergency detection and advisement system

The disclosed systems and methods provide for generating real-time egress plans for users in a building, based on the users' current locations. As the users' current locations change, egress plans associated with the users can be dynamically modified in real-time. The egress plans can also be generated, modified, and/or trained based on inputted information about the user. The disclosed technology can include a mobile application for presenting, in a centralized interface, information about user-specific egress plans, training the user for different emergency scenarios, improving or changing features in the building to improve safety, and user profiles. The mobile application can include training simulation games to help prepare the users to safely egress during an emergency. The disclosed technology can also predict building component and structure emergency risk levels. The disclosed technology can also designate zones in the building based on possible egress routes.

Systems and methods for machine learning-based emergency egress and advisement

A camera attachment for measuring a temperature of a surface, and related methods of measuring the temperature of the surface, employ a temperature reactive material that is thermally coupled with the surface and imaged to provide image data of the temperature reactive material that is analyzed to measure the temperature. A camera attachment for measuring a temperature of a surface includes a distal surface configured to be thermally coupled with the surface, a frame configured to be coupled with a camera that has a field of view, and a temperature reactive material coupled with the frame and thermally coupled with the distal surface. The frame positions the temperature reactive material within the field of view of the camera so that an image captured by the camera includes at least a portion of the temperature reactive material.

In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a probe comprising an optical coherence tomography assembly and a pressure assembly; and a processor in communication with the optical coherence tomography assembly and the pressure assembly. In one embodiment, the pressure assembly measures values of pressure in predetermined locations the vessel and communicates them to the processor. In one embodiment, a dual guidewire is used to reduce the interference in the pressure measurement.

Optical coherence tomography and pressure based systems and methods

A method and apparatus for determining properties of a tissue or tissues imaged by optical coherence tomography (OCT). In one embodiment the backscatter and attenuation of the OCT optical beam is measured and based on these measurements and indicium such as color is assigned for each portion of the image corresponding to the specific value of the backscatter and attenuation for that portion. The image is then displayed with the indicia and a user can then determine the tissue characteristics. In an alternative embodiment the tissue characteristics is classified automatically by a program given the combination of backscatter and attenuation values.
