A fastener nut for securing a part to channel framing defining at least one internal, generally T-shaped track extending lengthwise of the channel framing. The fastener nut includes a nut body, and first and second wings extending longitudinally outward from respective first and second longitudinal ends of the body. The first and second wings having respective terminal ends defining an effective wing span therebetween that is greater than the length of the body such that at least a portion of the fastener nut has a generally T-shaped side profile. The fastener nut is insertable in the generally T-shaped track of the channel framing to allow the fastener nut to slide along the length of the channel framing and to restrict transverse movement of the fastener nut in the interior, relative to length of the framing, for use in positioning the fastener nut along the channel framing.

A remotely positioned rotary operator handle for cooperating with a circuit breaker with a linearly movable handle. A housing is mounted over the circuit breaker handle. Within the housing a slide carrying a rack engages the circuit breaker handle which further engages a pinion gear sector mounted on a rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft extends from the housing and has positioned thereon a motion translating device which translates between rotational motion and linear motion. The rotary handle extends from a housing which is flange mounted on a cabinet in which the circuit breaker is disposed. A corresponding motion translating device is attached to the flange mounted rotary handle which is in turn connected to the motion translating device attached to the rotatable shaft. The connection between the motion translators comprises a linearly moving link. The rotary handle has an extendable hasp which comprises part of the connection between the rotatory handle and the motion translating device. The hasp is provided for allowing the the circuit breaker to be locked in the off position. The hasp has a foot which fixedly engages the rotary handle housing when in the extended position thereby preventing the rotation of the rotary operator handle. The hasp further has an aperture which accepts the shackle of a lock for locking the hasp in the extended position.

An improved dental scaler or curette wherein the cutting blade is spaced from the handle of the instrument by an arcuately formed shank portion which extends outwardly from the lower portion of the handle in a generally continuous arc to a relatively straight portion that extends transversely at an obtuse angle with respect to the plane of the arcuate shank and from which the cutting blade of the instrument extends at an acute angle with respect to the plane of the arcuate shank. In a further embodiment, the cutting blade includes a concave or generally V-shaped portion extending inwardly of the cutting edge thereof so as to form an elongated trough or trap in which material may be retained for removal during scaling or scraping of a tooth surface.

A periodontal implement in form of a scaler or curette having at least one blade mounted to one end thereof in which the body of the implement includes at least one fluid passageway through which a source of medicinal fluid supply including germicidals, anesthetics, soothing agents hemostatics and the like are released to the area of the blade during patient treatment by controlled flow such as by metering or capillary action.

Periodontal and dental scalers and curettes for removing tartar and other debris from the outer surface of teeth and especially root areas and which incorporate blades which are carried by a handle with the blades including a concavely curved cutting edge which extends in a plane transverse to the elongated axis of the handle and which cutting edge is configured so as to conform to an arcuate segment of the outer surface of the root or crown portion of a tooth taken generally normal to the elongated axis of the tooth.

An apparatus for removing crowns from teeth wherein the apparatus is a plier-like instrument having upper and lower opposing jaw portions with the lower jaw including a tapered and pointed member for engaging the lower margin of a crown and wherein the upper jaw supports an axially offset and rotatable pin member which may be adjustably positioned so as to apply pressure over a cusp and along the elongated axis of a tooth through a predrilled opening in the upper portion of a crown so that opposing pressure may be applied by the upper and lower jaw portions of the instrument to lift and separate a crown from a tooth.
