A system comprises a display configured to present a graphical user interface including a viewing area and one or more user interface elements. The system also comprises a gaze tracking device configured to detect a change in a gaze of a user while the user views the graphical user interface presented on the display. The system also comprises an audio input device configured to receive audio information. The system also comprises one or more processors configured to process the audio information received at the audio input device in accordance with a first mode to direct the received audio information as audio output to one or more audio output devices; and in response to the gaze tracking device detecting the change in the gaze of the user, process the received audio information in accordance with a second mode, the second mode being distinct from the first mode.

A method comprises displaying an image of an environment on a graphical user interface, the environment including personnel elements visible in the image, detecting a gaze of a user directed at an image of a first personnel element corresponding to a first information conveyor of a plurality of information conveyors, changing a state of the first information conveyor corresponding to the first personnel element from a passive state to a listening state in response to detecting that the gaze is directed at the image of the first personnel element, wherein the first information conveyor includes a first audio output device, receiving audio information through an audio input device, and when the state of the first information conveyor is changed to the listening state, controlling an output operation, wherein the output operation includes directing the received audio information as an audio output through the first audio output device.

A teleoperational medical system for performing a medical procedure in a surgical field includes a dynamic guided setup system having step-by-step setup instructions for setting up a teleoperational assembly having at least one motorized surgical arm configured to assist in a surgical procedure. It also includes a user interface configured to communicate the step-by-step setup instructions to a user. The dynamic guided setup system is configured to automatically recognize completion of a first setup step based on detected physical arrangement of at least one surgical arm on a teleoperational assembly and automatically display a prompt for a subsequent setup step after the recognizing completion of the first setup step.

A surgeon console for a teleoperated surgical system includes a user input mechanism configured to be actuated to command a flux supply unit to supply a flux to a surgical instrument operatively coupled to the surgeon console; and a user interface configured to display setting information of the flux supply unit, wherein the user interface comprises actuatable control features configured to change a control setting of the flux supply unit.

A robotic system comprises a robotic assembly comprising a drive mechanism, a sensor assembly, and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor assembly. The controller has at least one processor configured to execute a method. The method comprises recording a position of the drive mechanism to non-volatile memory during use of the robotic assembly and receiving a request to initiate a mid-procedure restart of the robotic assembly after a mid-procedure shut-down of the robotic assembly. The method also comprises determining whether a post-shutdown position of the drive mechanism is within an accepted tolerance with respect to a pre-shutdown position of the drive mechanism and preventing further use of the robotic assembly in response to a determination that the post-shutdown position of the drive mechanism is not within the accepted tolerance with respect to the pre-shutdown position of the drive mechanism.

Restoring instrument control input position/orientation during midprocedure restart

A telesurgery system having a surgical assembly with a motor and a surgical instrument. The surgical assembly has at least one drive mechanism driven by the motor. A sensor assembly is coupled to non-volatile memory, and is for recording position of the at least one rotatable mechanism to the non-volatile memory. A controller is communicatively coupled to the sensor assembly. The controller a processor configured to execute a method. In the method, rotational position of the a drive mechanism is recorded to the non-volatile memory during use of the surgical assembly. A mid-procedure shut-down of the surgical assembly is then initiated. A request is then received to initiate a mid-procedure restart of the surgical assembly. It is then determined whether a post-shutdown position of the drive mechanism is within an accepted tolerance with respect to a pre-shutdown position to allow the mid-procedure restart to complete.

A monitor system is disclosed. The monitor system includes a sensor with a sensor port. The monitor system further includes a recorder with a recorder port within a recording housing. The recorder port interfaces with the sensor port to receive signals from the sensor port. A recorder clock is defined within the recorder housing, with a recorder processor to store signals from the sensor. The recorder includes a data port to interface with a dock receiver. The monitor system includes a dock remotely located from the sensor and the recorder. The dock receiver couples the recorder to the dock. The monitor system further includes a data processor to analyze the sensor signals from the recorder. The data processor includes memory and a clock. Further included with the data processor are program instructions to assign the time and date of the sensor signals.
