The present specification provides a device and method for controlling a winch parcel delivery system through an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone. The example apparatus contemplates the use of a winch that will attach to a hook with active and passive release mechanisms through a winch line. The apparatus is enabled to attach to a parachute recovery system. The apparatus can detect when the ground has been reached to enable safe delivery of parcels. The apparatus can removably attach to various types of drones.

A vise system is provided to retain a workpiece. In an embodiment, the vise system comprises one or more center vise and one or more end vises. The center vises and end vises are clamped to a table or workbench. The center vise is provided with a front jaw and a rear jaw to retain the center of the work. The end vises are provided with workpiece clamps to retain the ends of the workpiece.

An electronic device for detecting an object beneath a wall section of interest has an elongate rectangular base for temporarily mounting to the wall section of interest and for carrying a display panel to display a persistent image of the object. The device can be a two-part device comprising a first part comprising a light projector and a second part comprising a sensor. The device can also be a single part device where the display and the sensor are incorporated into a single body.

A brush and roller cleaner includes a hollow canister to receive a spray wand. A control knob pivots with respect to the canister to direct pressurized liquid from apertures of the spray wand. A top cap assembly mates with the canister in one of two positions, 180 degrees offset from one another. The top cap assembly has a tool holding assembly that is capable of holding a paint tool or roller. The tool holding assembly rotates in response to the liquid output from the spray wand apertures. The top cap assembly is capable of holding a roller in a first or second position. The roller rotates within the canister in response to the liquid output from the spray wand apertures to clean the roller cover. A handle for the cleaner supports a roller frame clip for holding the roller in a first or second position.

Various embodiments are described herein for a housing for a detection unit that is used to read a power meter unit mounted on a structure that is consuming power. The power meter unit includes an indication with a cyclical property having a period that varies at a rate indicative of power consumption of the structure. Generally, the housing includes a main body for housing internal electronics, an extension member having a head region for housing at least a portion of the sensor unit, and an attachment means for mounting the main body on the power meter.
