A bicycle carrier includes a base configured to support a bicycle, a wheel securement arm, and a ratchet arm. The base has a first end and a second end. The wheel securement arm has a free end and a fixed end, with the fixed end rotatably coupled to the first end of the base at a first joint. The ratchet arm has a ratcheting assembly, and the ratchet arm is coupled to the wheel securement arm and rotatably coupled to the base at a second joint.

A vehicle mounted load carrier includes a base and a load arm. The base includes a tube and a hub. The tube defines an interior surface, and a first tube aperture extends radially through the tube. The hub is disposed at least partially within the interior surface of the tube. The hub includes a first hub aperture extending radially within the hub, and a locking mechanism configured to lock a relative rotation between the hub and the tube. The load arm is coupled to the hub.

An anchor for releasably securing a bicycle through-axle that is installed in a wheelless front fork of a bicycle to a load carrier. The anchor is made up of an anchor body having a through-axle receiving space for receiving a bicycle through-axle therein. The anchor additionally has a movable jaw located within the anchor body and that is transitionable between a receiving configuration in which an interior of the receiving space is expanded for insertably receiving a bicycle through-axle therein, and a securing configuration in which the movable jaw is in lateral abutting engagement with a bicycle through-axle received within the interior of the receiving space.

Adjustable anchor on a load carrier for a bicycle through-axle

A vehicular roof rack mounting bracket configured to be secured onto load carrier bars of different dimensions is presented. The bracket can include a pair of elongate clamps configured to be coupled to a bicycle fork anchor of a bicycle carrier. Each clamp can have a bar engagement portion configured to abut an exterior of an elongate support bar of a vehicular roof rack in a secured configuration in which each clamp is fastened to the support bar, and each of the pair of clamps can have a lengthwise oriented longitudinal axis such that each longitudinal axis is oriented at an oblique angle relative to the other longitudinal axis.

A variably positionable bicycle wheel anchor for fixing a bicycle wheel at a desired location along an elongate support rail. The bicycle wheel anchor includes a body configured to be slidingly coupled to an elongate support rail for variable, fixed positioning of the body along a length of the elongate support rail. The underside of the body has a support rail engagement surface and the upper side of the body has a bicycle wheel receiver. The wheel anchor has a deployable interference mechanism coupled to the body and having a deployed configuration in which at least a portion of the interference mechanism protrudes beyond the underside of the body for releasable engagement with the elongate support rail.

An assembly for securing a bicycle to a vehicle having first and second fork prongs. The assembly includes an elongated skewer for mounting the first and second fork prongs of the bicycle thereon and has an end portion. A lever rotatably couples to the end portion of the elongated skewer and has a cam portion. A cam follower movably couples to the elongated skewer and engages the cam portion of the lever such that the cam follower moves along the elongated skewer as the lever rotates. The assembly also includes a lock assembly, separate from the lever and the cam follower, that locks the lever at a closed position and couples to the end portion of the elongated skewer such that the lock assembly is disposed around the end portion of the elongated skewer.

An assembly secures a bicycle having first and second fork prongs to a vehicle. The assembly includes an elongated skewer for mounting the first and second fork prongs of the bicycle thereon. The elongated skewer defines a longitudinal axis, and has a first end portion and a second non-threaded end portion. The assembly also includes a stop removably coupled to the second non-threaded end portion of the elongated skewer, and a sleeve movably coupled to the elongated skewer and removably coupled to the stop to lock the stop on the elongated skewer.
