A loudspeaker system includes a subwoofer. The subwoofer includes a housing having a plurality of walls which together define an acoustic cavity. The plurality of walls includes a front wall, a rear wall, a top wall, a bottom wall, and a plurality of sidewalls extending between the top and bottom walls and between the front and rear walls. A first transducer mounted to the front wall of the housing. The first transducer includes a diaphragm having a major axis and a minor axis. The major axis has a fist end proximate the bottom wall and an opposite, second end proximate the top wall, such that the major axis is arranged vertical, relative to ground when the subwoofer is rested on its bottom wall. The top wall has a handle such that the loudspeaker can be carried with the major axis arranged vertical to ground.

Portable loudspeaker systems

A ceiling tile loudspeaker includes an acoustic enclosure that defines an acoustic cavity. An electro-acoustic transducer is supported by the enclosure such that a first radiating surface of the electro-acoustic transducer radiates acoustic energy into the acoustic cavity and a second radiating surface of the electro-acoustic transducer radiates acoustic energy outward away from the acoustic enclosure. A first baffle is disposed within the acoustic cavity. The loudspeaker also includes a plurality of partitions, which, together with the first baffle, defines a plurality of ports that acoustically couple the acoustic cavity to an exterior of the enclosure. Each of the plurality of ports includes a first open end, a second open end, and a central axis extending therebetween. The ports are arranged such that their central axes lie in a plane that is substantially perpendicular to a motion axis of the electro-acoustic transducer.

Low profile loudspeakers

A line array loudspeaker includes a first plurality of flexible joints, a first plurality of electro-acoustic drivers being linked to each other by the first plurality of flexible joints, and a first sectional horn assembly coupled to the first plurality of electro-acoustic drivers. The first plurality of electro-acoustic drivers is adjustable so that it can be positioned such that an axis that runs through an acoustic center of the first plurality of electro-acoustic drivers is articulable to produce three or more configurations including: a substantially straight configuration and a plurality of arcuate configurations.

Curvable line array

A line array loudspeaker has a first group of acoustic drivers comprising a first plurality of acoustic drivers each comprising an axis, the first plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that their axes are parallel. There is a second plurality of acoustic drivers each comprising an axis, the second plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that their axes are parallel. The first and second plurality of acoustic drivers are arranged such that a projection onto an azimuth plane of the axes of the first plurality of acoustic drivers intersects with a projection onto the azimuth plane of the axes of the second plurality of acoustic drivers at a first, fixed articulation angle. There is a second group of acoustic drivers that is adjacent to the first group. The second group comprises a third plurality of acoustic drivers each comprising an axis. The drivers of the second group are arranged such that a projection onto the azimuth plane of the axes of the third plurality of acoustic drivers intersect at varied articulation angles.

Line array loudspeaker

Various implementations include loudspeakers. In some particular cases, a loudspeaker includes: a high frequency (HF) driver; a low frequency (LF) driver coaxially arranged with the HF driver; and a waveguide overlying a sound radiating surface of the LF driver, the waveguide having a hole pattern such that a sound radiation pattern of the LF driver matches a sound radiation pattern of the HF driver at a reference location.

Coaxial waveguide

A loudspeaker system includes a first flexible panel, a first line array of electro-acoustic drivers, and at least one mechanically adjustable point. The first line array of electro-acoustic drivers are mounted on the first flexible panel and linked to each other by flexible joints in the first flexible panel. The at least one mechanically adjustable point enables articulation of the first flexible panel at the flexible joints to produce one or more of a substantially straight and an arcuate configuration of the first line array of electro-acoustic drivers.

A compact and portable loudspeaker system operable in two configurations includes a driver array and a base unit having a bass enclosure and a dock. In an extended configuration, the driver array is supported by one or more extension legs between three to eight feet above the base unit where one of the extension legs is held by the dock. The base unit may be placed on a floor of a small to medium venue with the mid-to-high range driver array elevated near or above the elevation of an audience in the venue. In a compact configuration, the driver array is directly supported by the dock and the base unit and driver array may be placed on a table or desk in a classroom, conference room, or other such small to medium venue. The portable loudspeaker system may be transported in the compact configuration.

Dual configuration speaker

A line array loudspeaker, including a first plurality of acoustic drivers each acoustic driver comprising an axis, the first plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that the axes of first plurality of acoustic drivers are coplanar in a first plane and so that a straight line intersects each axis at a same position on each of the first plurality of acoustic drivers, and a second plurality of acoustic drivers each acoustic driver comprising an axis, the second plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that the axes of second plurality of acoustic drivers are coplanar in a second plane and so that the straight line intersects each axis at a same position on each of the second plurality of acoustic drivers, in which the first plurality and the second plurality arranged so that the first plane intersects with the second plane along a straight intersection line.
