The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method for controlling a terminal in a base station of a mobile communication system, according to an embodiment of the present application, comprises the steps of: selecting at least one candidate terminal for offloading; obtaining information on a neighbor cell of at least one of the candidate terminals; obtaining throughput improvement information according to offloading on the basis of information on the candidate terminal and load information of the neighbor cell of the candidate terminal; obtaining information on a target cell corresponding to the candidate terminal on the basis of the throughput improvement information; selecting a target terminal to be offloaded from the candidate terminals on the basis of the throughput improvement information corresponding to the target cell; and transmitting, to the target terminal, a message instructing offloading to the target cell corresponding to the target terminal.

Method and apparatus for selecting carrier in mobile communication system

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for channel quality estimation in consideration of interference control and coordinated communication in a cellular system. A base station receives an SRS transmitted by a terminal to thus measure received power, and then configures, for the terminal, a CSI process which may measure SINRs for base stations having higher SRS received power. If the terminal feeds back, to the base station, channel quality information for the configured CSI process, the base station determines an SINR and a MCS to be applied to data transmission in consideration of a received CQI and a CoMP transmission scheme, and applies the determined SINR and MCS to thus transmit data.

Method and apparatus for scheduling coordinated transmission in a wireless communication system are provided. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an apparatus for controlling resource utilization of a plurality of base stations comprises at least one transceiver configured to receive information about a buffer occupancy state from base stations performing a coordinated transmission, a processor configured to determine transmission states of the base stations based on the information about the buffer occupancy state. The at least one transceiver is further configured to transmit scheduling information comprising the transmission states.

Method and apparatus for scheduling coordinated transmission in wireless communication system

The present disclosure is to effectively perform coordinated transmission in a wireless communication system. A base station includes a controller for providing control to generate control information including channel state information and buffer occupancy state related information of terminals, and a communication unit for transmitting the control information. The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for scheduling traffic in a wireless communication system. A method for a base station operating in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving feedback information from a plurality of terminals; and scheduling the plurality of terminals based on the feedback information, wherein the step of scheduling the plurality of terminals includes a step of scheduling so as to reduce throughput of terminals in a first group of the plurality of terminals that are in an overload state, and to satisfy delay-based quality of service (QoS) of terminals in a second group of the plurality of terminals that are in under-load state. As a result, the total utility of all the terminals can be maximized, a delay-based QoS with respect to all the terminals can be achieved on average, and a minimum data rate-based QoS can be achieved on average.
