A wireless intraluminal imaging device and an associated system are provided. In one embodiment, the wireless intraluminal imaging device includes a flexible elongate member including a proximal portion and a distal portion; an ultrasound imaging component coupled to the distal portion of the flexible elongate member; a cable coupled to the ultrasound imaging component and extending along the flexible elongate member; and a wireless communication component coupled to the proximal portion of the flexible elongate member, the wireless communication component in communication with the ultrasound imaging component via the cable. The wireless communication component wirelessly transmits ultrasound echo signals collected by the ultrasound imaging component to an image processing system via a wireless link for image generation at the image processing component.

Wireless intraluminal imaging device and associated devices, systems, and methods

Systems, methods, and devices are provided for automatically adjusting the scale or magnification of an intraluminal image on a display of an intraluminal imaging system based on a measured or computed size of the vessel. For example, a system may include a processor configured to receive, from an intraluminal imaging catheter or guidewire, a first intraluminal image of a body lumen, and compute a dimension of an anatomical feature of the body lumen based on the first intraluminal image. The processor computes a scaling factor for the first intraluminal image based on the dimension of the body lumen, scales the first intraluminal image by the scaling factor, and outputs the scaled first intraluminal image to a display in communication with the processor circuit.

Intraluminal image visualization with adaptive scaling and associated systems, methods, and devices

The invention generally relates to intravascular imaging system and particularly to processing in multimodal systems. The invention provides an imaging system that splits incoming image data into two signals and performs the same processing step on each of the split signals. The system can then send the two signals down two processing pathways. Methods include receiving an analog image signal, transmitting the received signal to a processing system, splitting the signal to produce a first image signal and a second image signal, and performing a processing operation on the first image signal and the second image signal. The first and second signal include substantially the same information as one another.

System and method for multipath processing of image signals

Intraluminal medical devices, systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, an intraluminal medical system includes a handheld interface device in communication with an intraluminal device to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient. The intraluminal device includes a sensor configured to obtain physiology data associated with the body lumen. The handheld interface device includes a housing sized and shaped for handheld use, a controller core disposed within the housing and configured to control a plurality of sensor types respectively associated with a plurality of intraluminal devices, a computing core disposed within the housing, and a first display integrated in the housing. The controller core is operable to identify the sensor of the intraluminal device, and control the sensor to obtain the physiology data associated with the body lumen. The computing core is operable to process the physiology data using instructions associated with the identified sensor, wherein the computing core is further operable to process physiology data associated with the plurality of sensor types respectively using a plurality of modality specific instructions; and generate a graphical representation based on the physiology data. The first display is operable to display the graphical representation based on the physiology data.

Handheld medical interface for intraluminal device and associated devices, systems, and methods

Intravascular devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a medical imaging system for imaging vasculature of a patient is provided. The imaging system includes a console that has one or more processors with a medical imaging system interface running thereon, an acquisition card in communication with the one or more processors and in communication with a patient interface module (PIM), and an intravascular imaging component in communication with the PIM and disposed on a distal end of a flexible elongate member. The medical imaging system interface provides a plurality of settings groups for selection by a user, each of the settings groups having pre-acquisition parameters and post-acquisition parameters that are optimal for imaging a desired viewing target within the vasculature. Associated methods and computer-readable media are provided.

Visually optimized intravascular imaging and associated devices, systems, and methods

Devices, systems, and methods of imaging a blood vessel are provided. For example, the method can include obtaining fluoroscopic image data of a region of interest in a blood vessel using an x-ray source; obtaining intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) data at a plurality of positions across the region of interest using an IVUS component disposed on an intravascular device; processing the fluoroscopic image data and IVUS data, including: determining, using the fluoroscopic image data, a position of the intravascular device with respect to the x-ray source at each of the plurality of positions across the region of interest; co-registering the fluoroscopic image data and the IVUS image data; and generating, a model of the region of interest including position information of a border of a lumen of the blood vessel at each of the plurality of locations; and outputting a visual representation of the model of the region of interest.

The method includes reading first security data from a memory of the intravascular device; determining if the intravascular device is authentic; generating second security data, when the intravascular device is authentic; and writing the second security data to the memory of the intravascular device. Devices, systems, and methods for authenticating an intravascular device for use are also provided. The method includes bringing an intravascular device into communication with a computing device, the intravascular device including a memory; determining if first security data is authentic; determining, when the first security data is authentic, if the intravascular device has been reconditioned; determining, when the intravascular device has been reconditioned, if the second security data is authentic base; and permitting, when second security data is authentic, use of the intravascular device in the clinical procedure.
