A packaging assembly for holding contents is provided. The packaging assembly includes a self-supporting liner having a wall that encloses sides and bottom of an interior of the liner and defines an open top end of the liner, and a rim that projects outwardly from the wall proximal to the open top end. The packaging assembly also includes a lidding assembly including a cover region and a destructible seal region that seals the cover region to the liner extending over and closing the liner open top. The destructible cover region is weaker than the liner and the cover region so that detachment of the cover region from the liner causes the destructible seal region to fail. The lidding assembly includes a first lidding material having a center portion and an outer portion that surrounds the center portion.

A container assembly for flowable materials, the container assembly comprising: a reusable outer supporting container; and a disposable inner plastic liner; wherein the reusable outer supporting container comprises an outlet pipe comprising a first outlet pipe section connected to the reusable outer supporting container and a second outlet pipe section releasably connectable to the first outlet pipe section, wherein the second outlet pipe section comprises a valve for selectively closing off the second outlet pipe section, and wherein at least one of the first outlet pipe section and the second outlet pipe section comprises an annular recess; and wherein the disposable inner plastic liner comprises a tubular outlet portion, wherein the tubular outlet portion comprises an outer flange configured to be captured between the first outlet pipe section and the second outlet pipe section, and further wherein the outer flange of the tubular outlet portion comprises an annular protrusion configured to be received in the annular recess when the outer flange is captured between the first outlet pipe section and the second outlet pipe section.

The present disclosure, in one embodiment, relates to a packaging assembly for holding liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The packaging assembly includes a carton having side and bottom walls and an open top. A self-supporting plastic liner fits inside of the carton and is for containing liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The liner has a side wall, a closed bottom end, and an open top end having an outwardly-projecting rim. The rim has a radially-extending flange portion, and a dependent skirt portion. When the self-supporting plastic liner is inside of the carton, the dependent skirt portion of the rim hangs over the side walls of the carton. A lidding material is removeably affixed to the rim of the plastic liner. A carton lid closes off the open top of the carton.

A container for holding contents includes a shell having a peripheral rim defining a substantially open top, a lid positioned on the shell, covering the substantially open top, and having a peripheral portion engaging the peripheral rim, and a liner disposed within the shell, conforming to the shape of the shell, and having peripheral ribbon secured to the lid forming a continuous seal between the liner and the lid.

The present disclosure, in one embodiment, relates to a packaging assembly for holding liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The packaging assembly includes a carton having side and bottom walls. The packaging assembly also includes a self-supporting plastic liner that fits inside of the carton for containing liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The liner has either a substantially circular or substantially oval cylindrical side wall, a closed bottom end characterized by a bottom wall formed integral with said side wall, and an open top end having an outwardly-projecting rim. The rim has a radially-extending flange portion, and a dependent skirt portion, wherein when the self-supporting plastic liner is inside of the carton, the radially extending flange portion supports the liner on at least a portion of the carton. A lidding material is provided to seal the plastic liner.

Sustainable packaging system for shipping liquid or viscous products

The present invention provides a flexible liner and bag-in-box container system comprising a collapsible container having a liner attached to the collapsible container, such that when the container is expanded from a collapsed state, the attached liner similarly expands. When the collapsible container is expanded, the liner may expand to substantially conform to the shape of the collapsible container. The liner may further comprise a filler fitting for receiving contents for filling the liner. The filler fitting may comprise one or more annular rings adapted to secure the filler fitting of the liner to an opening in the collapsible container. The collapsible container may be made of corrugated fiberboard. The collapsible container may further include tape having two adhesive sides for securing the collapsible container in an expanded state.

A liner for use in a bulk container is provided. The liner comprises a first flexible panel a second flexible panel and a first seal joining the first and second panels and a second seal joining the first and second panels. The first flexible panel comprises at least one ply of thermoplastic material and the second flexible panel comprises at least one ply of material that has a higher heat threshold than the at least one ply contained in the first flexible panel.

Flexible liner for FIBC or bag-in-box container systems with improved tensile strength

A liner for use in a bulk container is provided. The liner comprises a first flexible portion, a second flexible portion, a first seal joining the first and second portions, a second seal joining the first and second portions, a third seal joining the first and second portions, and a fourth seal joining the first and second portions. The first portion is a better barrier than the second portion.

Flexible liner for FIBC or bag-in-box container systems with improved flex crack resistance

The present invention is a collapsible liner for use in a bulk container. The liner comprises a first flexible panel, a second flexible panel, a first seal, a second seal, and a tab. The first flexible panel includes a first longitudinal edge. The second flexible panel includes a second longitudinal edge. The first seal joins the first and second panels near the first and second longitudinal edges and runs generally parallel to the first and second edges. The second seal joins the first and second panels and is generally oblique to the first seal. At least one of the panels extends across at least one of the seals to form the tab, which includes an attachment feature. The attachment feature may be a piece of tape affixed to the tab. The attachment feature may be a strip of fabric or other reinforcement material melted into the tab, sealed within the tab or affixed to the tab via an adhesive. The attachment feature may be a hole with sealed or unsealed edges. The attachment feature may be a grommet or a loop for receiving a hook.
