A system and method providing a frame structure to received channel data sent over an air interface of a wireless communication system. The system and method may allow compensation for transmitting and receiving frequency variations, synchronization at the receiver, and provides a virtual signaling channel which may be used for system alarms and status. In one embodiment, the system uses bit stuffing, a frame preamble and a signaling preamble to transmit data at a high data rate in the ISM band.

Wireless T/E transceiver frame and signaling controller

A system and method of buffering data of a wireless communication system. The system and method maintain synchronization, end-to-end signaling and coding overhead bits needed to encapsulate data frames sent over wireless media. Additionally, the system and method compensate for transmitting and receiving clock variations. In one embodiment, the system uses framing of data with preamble, stuffing and signaling bits transmitted synchronously at a high data rate in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) bands.

Elastic store for wireless communication systems

A system and method for communication of radio frequency (RF) signals over multimedia signal paths. The invention provides a wireless multimedia carrier (WMC) system capable of receiving a variety of standardized input signals, such as DS0/E0, T1/E1, T2/E2, and/or T3/E3 for transmission using RF channels. The WMC system selectively employs time division multiple access (TDMA) and/or code division multiple access (CDMA) technology. The WMC system transmits the various signal inputs using RF carriers, receives the transmitted signals, and converts the signals to the desired signaling scheme (standard) for forwarding to intended destinations.

Wireless multimedia carrier system

A system and method providing a structure to the data sent over the air interface of a wireless communication system. Wireless T/E Transceiver frame signaling subcontroller

A carrier current transceiver includes a transmitter section and a receiver section coupled to an AC power line. In the transmit mode, input data in the form of a logical '0' enables a carrier frequency signal to excite a tuned cavity. The tuned circuit includes a first winding of transformer, a capacitor and a damping resistor. A second winding of the transformer is capacitively coupled to the AC power line to produce a stepped down carrier current signal to represent a transmitted logical '0'. A logical '1' is represented by absence of the carrier current signal. In the receive mode, a small carrier current signal representing a logical '0' is received via the AC line and is stepped up by the transformer and capacitively coupled to an input of the receiver section. Outband frequencies are removed by means of a second tuned circuit and the resulting signal is amplified by self-biased CMOS inverter circuitry and then is limited by a diode limiter circuit before being input to a phase locked loop data recovery circuit that produces a logical '0' if the carrier frequency is applied for a predetermined period. The damping resistor critically damps large oscillations produced in the first tuned circuit by large noise impulses on the AC line to prevent such oscillations from enduring long enough to be detected as logical '0's by the phase locked loop data recovery circuit.

Apparatus and method for communicating digital information on AC power

A standard hot water heating system is improved by adding a high-low temperature limit controlled auxiliary boiler. The auxiliary boiler is smaller than the main boiler and the burner for the auxiliary boiler is, of course, smaller than the burner for the main boiler and uses less fuel. In a particular embodiment, the auxiliary boiler continuously maintains the temperature in both boilers within the range of about 170.degree.-212.degree. F. As a result of the constantly maintained elevated water temperature in the main boiler, less time is required for the main boiler burner to heat up the system upon the demand of a room thermostat.
