A tire comprising a continuous channel defined by spaced apart sidewalls coupled at a first end to a bridging member and at a second end to a contact member that is coupled to a disc contact portion, said tire being formed by rotational molding of a polyurethane and configured for mounting on a wheel rim.

Hollow tire and method of making same

A load wheel for a vehicle is provided having a cylindrical hub with an axis, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, an outer surface, a central core extending coaxially within the hub, and a plurality of passageways extending in an axial direction between the first and second sidewall. A solid, non-pneumatic tire is bonded to the outer surface of the hub, and a set of bearing is mounted in the central core of the hub. The hub is characterized by a 'heat factor' equal to the (hub mass×hub specific heat)/surface area exposed. The heat factor for a hub comprising passageways is compared to the heat factor for a solid hub to derive a heat factor ratio, which is used to select the exposed surface area of the hub and maintain the operating temperature of the wheel below the failure temperature.

A spring-force adjustable, height-adjustable industrial caster assembly including a mounting plate, a swivel housing that swivels relative to the mounting plate, and a spring assembly having components that are moveable relative to the swivel housing to controllably alter spring deflection and/or caster wheel height, which components can be adjusted by accessing the height-adjustable industrial caster assembly from above, eliminating the need to raise a pallet truck or other moveable assembly to which the caster assembly is coupled, away from the floor to be able to access and adjust the industrial caster assembly.

The ventilated child car seat is a child safety seat with internal ductwork and vents. An external intake hose attaches to a vehicle air vent and directs the air from the vehicle environmental control system to the child seat. The internal ductwork and vents allow the heated or chilled air to circulate around the occupant of the child safety seat. Movable vent covers on the child safety seat allow the flow of air to be reduced or stopped.

A method for modifying a heterophasic polymer composition comprises the steps of providing a compatibilizing agent, providing a heterophasic polymer composition comprising a propylene polymer phase and an ethylene polymer phase, mixing the compatibilizing agent and the heterophasic polymer composition, and generating free radicals in the propylene phase and the ethylene phase. At least a portion of the compatibilizing agent then reacts with free radicals in both the propylene polymer phase and the ethylene polymer phase to form a bond with a propylene polymer in the propylene polymer phase and a bond with an ethylene polymer in the ethylene polymer phase.
