A multi-component electric switch-circuit breaker module permits electric switches and circuit breakers to be field-installed within existing panelboard-switchboard enclosures. The module contains a pair of compartments that are accessed by separate doors. Electric switches or circuit breakers can be arranged within both compartments or an electric switch can be installed within one compartment with an electric circuit breaker installed within the other. The module is removably attached to the panelboard-switchboard interior by means of a bail handle arrangement. The module is removed from the assembly by unscrewing the bail handle and manually accessing the module. Spring-loaded connector clips allow for repeated connection with and disconnection from the systems power bus with minimum contact resistance.

A circuit breaker panelboard modular assembly employs a plurality of interdependent molded plastic and metal parts to multifunctionally adapt breakers of different ratings for electrical connection within the panelboard enclosure. Anti-turn connector connects the line strap terminal. Captive bolts or plug-in connections are employed to attach the breakers to the power bus. A novel concealed hinge construction is used to connect the panelboard door to the panelboard housing and the breakers are individually identified within the housing by extruded plastic circuit markers.

A molded plastic circuit breaker support for lighting panel boards includes integral guides for robotic insertion of the branch strap conductors as well as integral support means for providing additional support to the main bus conductors. A former plastic cover is positioned over the branch strap conductors for electrical isolation within the panel board enclosure and a formed plastic phase barrier shield is attached to the top of the support for insulating the main bus conductors.
