A synchronization server creates an augmented radio listener experience by providing additional information, especially visual information, over a concurrent, parallel data connection to a user device during the radio broadcast. The additional information is synchronized to the radio broadcast item then playing, based on an event message received by the synchronization server from the radio station equipment. The synchronization server can implement real-time interactions between connected radio listeners and a disk jockey dashboard of the radio station. The synchronization server optionally can personalize advertisement content for transmission to user devices based on user profile information and audience criteria provided by the advertiser.

Augmenting content for over-the-air broadcast radio (AM or FM) in connected radio and/or on mobile applications synchronized with over-the-air broadcast radio

In response to a track playing on a broadcast radio station, the corresponding artist name is used as a key to access a database of artist messages, news and events information associated with that artist, that may be automatically distributed and geo-targeted while the track is playing. Distribution of the supplemental artist-related content extends to the radio broadcast&#x2014;via RDS and HD, to the Internet, social media and various mobile devices. The supplement content may comprise messages pre-programmed by the artist, agents, or music labels. The supplemental content may be geo-targeted to include local tour dates, media appearances, related news, album releases and other data tied to the artist's song that is playing on the radio or on a streaming application. Further, the system may feed messages directly from the artist's existing social platforms, to provide further engagement of listeners while the track is playing.

Method and software architecture for providing data-change alerts corresponding to data changes in a data system to external (of the data system) applications. A computer user interface is provided to enable a user to identify user interface (UI) objects corresponding to a user interface of an application used to access the data system to provide data-change alert support for. For example, the UI objects may comprise screens, views, applets, fields, and columns. Based on the alert-enabled UI objects, data-change alert triggers are generated to monitor for data-change events (e.g., inserts, updates, and deletes) that cause changes to data in the data system corresponding to those alert-enabled UI objects. In response to data changes in the data system corresponding to alert-enabled UI objects, appropriate triggers are executed to initiate generation of data-change alerts comprising data values that have been changed. The data-change alerts are then pushed to the external application.

The device determines a current frequency setting of a nearby radio by short-range broadcast of a brief audio-frequency signature so as to form a feedback path from the radio sufficient to determine the frequency or station currently playing. The captured data is communicated to a services server to enable quick and convenient purchase of the desired product or service.

A method and system for building/updating grammars in voice access systems is disclosed. The method includes receiving a grammar update request from a voice access system, retrieving data, filtering the data and providing the filtered data to the voice access system. The grammar update request identifies a navigation context of a user interface provided by a data system. The user interface provides access to information in the data system. The data is retrieved from the data system and pertains to the navigation context. The filtering is performed to obtain filtered data pertaining to user interface (UI) objects enabled for grammar updates.
