A pocket isolator form, for placement around a footer before a concrete slab is poured, is formed from plural barrier sections. At least some of the sections are curved, so that a sharp re-entrant corned is not formed in the concrete slab. The curved sections may be assembled with straight sections to form barriers of various form shapes which avoid the creation of sharp re-entrant corners in the slab.

ADSS cable is laid out a length of cable along an aerial route defined by a series of poles, and loops of surplus cable are formed at occasional poles. The cable is raised to a predetermined installation height at each pole, where two dead-ends secure the ends of the loop so that the loop is substantially free of tension. The center of the loop is raised and secured to the pole, thus forming two bights in the loop. A bend radius protector is installed in each of the bights to protect the cable from bending damage. Each bend radius protector is suspended from a cable protecting device placed over the taut cable, so that the cable is not damaged.

A pair of replaceable toothed gripping jaws are attached to the base plate and the lever arm respectively, the teeth being aligned so that the teeth pull a nail by its shank, rather than by its head, when force is applied to the lever.

A tool for removing deck boards includes a base having a short shaft with a handle socket affixed thereto, and a pair of spaced prying arms connected to opposite ends of the shaft. The prying arms are spaced so they straddle a joist when the base member is placed on top of the joist. Each of the arms has a convex upper surface portion for engaging bottom surfaces of the boards, and the convex portion remains in contact with the center of the board as the board is pulled from the joist. The handle has a bend and may be rotated 180&deg; with respect to the base member to achieve different effective handle angles.

Method and apparatus for storing surplus ADSS cable

A barb arm extension assembly is provided for retrofitting an existing anchor fence with barbed wire. The assembly includes a main body comprising an arm having means for retaining at least one strand of barbed wire and a first half-shell clamp member for engaging a first side of a fence post. A hinged bracket provides a second half-shell clamp member for engaging a second side of the post. Each of the half-shell clamp members has a central portion with an internal diameter sufficient to contain one of said caps without contacting it, and a necked-down bottom portion for engaging the post without disturbing either the post cap of the rail retained by the post cap.

A hunting stand and access ladder are disclosed for use by a hunter to support himself at an elevated position in a tree. The hunting stand includes a frame with a seat and foot support on it, an upper support means on the frame comprising a pair of prongs and a securing member eccentrically arranged so that the prongs are forced into the tree trunk as the frame is moved from an initial tilted position to a final position lying adjacent the tree trunk, and a lower securing means on the frame for holding the stand in the final position. The access ladder is sectional with each section including a central support tube, a cross member at the upper end of the support tube, a pair of support prongs on the cross tube, securing means to force the support prongs into the tree trunk to support the ladder section spaced from the tree trunk, and rungs on the support tube so that the hunter can climb the ladder section.
