A plate segment for a reciprocating pump power end frame assembly, the power end frame assembly having a pair of end plate segments and at least one middle plate segment disposed between the end plate segments. The plate segment consists of the middle plate segment or one of the pair of end plate segments and includes a plate having a front wall, a rear wall, a top wall, a bottom wall and a pair of sidewalls and at least one opening forming a bearing support surface, the opening extending through the plate. The plate segment further includes at least one extension extending from at least one of the sidewalls of the plate at a position to align with and contact a corresponding extension on an adjacently positioned plate.

Power end frame assembly for reciprocating pump

A suction cover assembly for a reciprocating pump includes a suction cover nut having a nut face and a thread configured to threadably connect the suction cover nut to a fluid cylinder of the reciprocating pump. The suction cover assembly includes a suction cover having a cover face. The suction cover is configured to be held by the fluid cylinder such that the cover face opposes the nut face of the suction cover nut. The suction cover includes first and second seals having a leakage trap defined therebetween. The leakage trap is configured to trap leakage pressure during operation of the reciprocating pump. The suction cover includes at least one leakage channel that is configured to channel the leakage pressure from the leakage trap to an interface between the cover face and the nut face.

A dual circuit lubrication system for a power end of a reciprocating pump that includes a lubrication pump that supplies lubrication fluid to a high pressure lubrication circuit and a low pressure lubrication circuit. The high pressure lubrication circuit is fluidly coupled to a crankshaft to supply lubrication fluid to journal surfaces associated with the crankshaft at a first lubrication fluid pressure. The crankshaft drives a crosshead coupled to a plunger to displace fluid from a fluid end of the reciprocating pump. The low pressure lubrication circuit is fluidly coupled to supply the lubrication fluid to a plurality of roller bearing surfaces associated with the crankshaft at a second lubrication fluid pressure. The first lubrication fluid pressure is greater than the second lubrication fluid pressure.

Reciprocating pump with dual circuit power end lubrication system

In one aspect, there is provided a damper control system for a reciprocating pump assembly according to which control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, there is provided a method of dampening vibrations in a pump drivetrain according to which a beginning of torque variation is detected and at least a portion of the torque variation is negated. In another aspect, signals or data associated with pump characteristics are received from sensors, torque characteristics and damper response voltages per degree of crank angle are calculated, and control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, a damper system includes a fluid chamber configured to receive a magnetorheological fluid; a flywheel disposed at least partially within the fluid chamber and adapted to be operably coupled to a fluid pump crankshaft; and a magnetic device proximate the flywheel. The magnetic device applies a variable drag force to the flywheel.

Pump drivetrain damper system and control systems and methods for same

A drive system for a fluid end of a reciprocating pump assembly including a drive member and a power end housing having a crankshaft rotatably disposed therein. The assembly includes a gearbox secured to the power end housing, the gearbox operatively connecting the drive member to the crankshaft for rotation thereof. The assembly further includes at least one arm member extending between the gearbox and the power end housing, the at least one arm member positioned to resist relative movement between the gearbox and the power end housing.

System and method for reinforcing reciprocating pump

According to one aspect, a manifold defines an internal region and a first inside surface. A fluid liner is permanently bonded to the first inside surface, and dynamically responds to pressure fluctuations within the internal region during fluid flow therethrough while the permanent bond is maintained. According to another aspect, an end cap is connected to the elongated member and defines a second inside surface. The fluid liner is engaged with each of first and second inside surfaces, and defines a third inside surface. A first thickness of the fluid liner is defined between the first and third inside surfaces, a second thickness of the fluid liner is defined between the second and third inside surfaces, and the second thickness is greater than the first thickness. According to another aspect, a plug opening is formed through the fluid liner, and a liner plug extends within the plug opening.

The low pressure lubrication circuit is fluidly coupled to supply the lubrication fluid to a plurality of rolling surfaces associated with the crankshaft at a second lubrication fluid pressure. The first lubrication fluid pressure is greater than the second lubrication fluid pressure.
