Apparatuses, methods and systems for an event-triggering apparatus are disclosed. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a sensor element operative to sensing a magnetic field, and apparatus control circuitry, wherein the apparatus control circuitry receives a representation of the sensed magnetic field. The apparatus control circuitry is operative to sense a deviation in the sensed magnetic field greater than a predetermined threshold, and trigger an event after sensing the deviation of the sensed magnetic field greater than the predetermined threshold.

Apparatuses, methods and systems for monitoring vehicle parking occupancy are disclosed. One method includes intermittently receiving, by a wireless node, a wireless signal from a vehicle sensing device, wherein the vehicle sensing device transmits the wireless signal upon sensing a change in vehicle occupancy of an associated parking location, wherein the wireless signal includes a vehicle sensing indicator, wherein the vehicle sensing indicator indicates whether the vehicle sensing device senses vehicle occupancy of the associated parking location, measuring a signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time, correlating the measured signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time with the vehicle occupancy indictor, and identifying errors in the vehicle sensing indicator based on the correlating of the measured signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time with the vehicle occupancy indictor.

Monitoring vehicle parking occupancy

Apparatuses, methods and systems for a swim apparatus are disclosed. One embodiment of the swim apparatus includes one or more sensors sensing motion of a swimmer, a direction indicator for indicating a direction to the swimmer, and a controller. The controller is operative to receive sense signals from the one or more sensors, and identify a desired bearing of the swimmer comprising identifying one or more natural gesture motions of the swimmer from the received sense signals that indicate the desired bearing of the swimmer. Further, the controller is operative to identify an actual heading of the swimmer based on the received sense signals, calculate a heading offset based on the desired bearing of the swimmer and the actual heading of the swimmer, and provide the heading offset to the direction indicator.

Aiding a swimmer in maintaining a desired bearing

Apparatuses, methods and systems of a magnetic sensor self-characterizing its magnetic properties are disclosed. One embodiment of the magnetic sensor apparatus includes a magnetic sensor and a current source for applying a current to the magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor apparatus further includes control circuitry configured to control the current source, and characterize a magnetic property of the magnetic sensor based on the applied current. One method of a magnetic sensor self-characterizing its magnetic properties includes applying, by the magnetic sensor, an electrical signal, and characterizing a magnetic property of the magnetic sensor based on the applied electrical signal.

Magnetic sensor characterization

Apparatuses, methods and systems of sensor sampling of a field are disclosed. One apparatus includes a magnetometer that includes a sensor responsive to an applied field. Embodiments of the sensor include an active device and oscillator circuitry, wherein the sensor generates an output signal having a frequency that is dependent on the applied field. The magnetometer further includes a bias reset controller for resetting a bias of the active device and a sampler for sampling the output signal. Further, a reset-rate of the resetting of the bias of the active device is high enough to influence 1/f noise generated by the active device.

The padlock housing assembly includes a padlock housing having monolithically formed walls for cradling an existing padlock therein. A top one of the walls is provided with an annular aperture for receiving a U-shaped shank of an existing padlock therethrough. The shank maintains a static relationship with the padlock housing when the shank is passed through the aperture and engaged with the existing padlock to a closed position. An audio mechanism is included for playing an audio file when the shank is biased to an open position and is housed within the cavity. At least one LED is also provided for emitting a predetermined luminescence when the shaft is biased to the open position. A trigger mechanism transmits a power input signal to the audio mechanism when the shank is biased to the open position. The triggering mechanism is operably engaged with the shank.

Method for signal extraction in a universal sensor IC

A circuit for detecting voltage states output from a voltage generating engine has a first connection point connecting the circuit to a voltage output of the engine, a second connection point connecting the circuit to electrical ground and a digital output signal port for providing binary output values. The circuit detects voltage levels ranging above and below a nominal voltage level and assigns binary values to the detected states, the values used as instruction to a device coupled to the circuit.
