A process for washing laundry using a hand-held container having a mixing volume, friction means and dispensing means, the process comprising a first step of preparing a mixture by inserting a detergent composition and water in the mixing volume, a second step of cleaning the laundry by dispensing at least part of the mixture onto the laundry and by scrubbing the laundry with the friction means, the process being characterized in that the second step is directly followed by a rinsing step.

A system, method, and computer readable storage medium for managing product development include a relational database containing draft, approved, and archived versions of product, package, materials, process, and artwork technical data for use by product development personnel in providing a structured set of data output for use in a supply chain. In one embodiment, the relational database includes objects having data to describe design requirements of a finished product component such as a formula, material, package, and the like. Text documents may be linked to the relational data structure by reference to provide design requirements not amenable to a structured data format, such as test methods, process instructions, and the like. The system, method, and computer readable storage medium provide for electronic communication and electronic approval of data subsets while tracking changes and archiving previous versions for subsequent access or reference. System validation and ongoing change control provide necessary support for products in regulated industries.

System and method for managing product development

A cell system has one or multiple burstable enclosures or closed cells which contain an active composition, such as a fluid or solid (including powdered) product, preferably a liquid product, which is released therefrom when the enclosures or closed cells are ruptured. Each enclosure or cell is provided with a flow control which controls the direction and flow of the composition outwardly of the enclosure or cell when the enclosure or cell is ruptured. The flow control is formed by a film covering one side of an enclosure or cell with the film having a cut-out portion forming a flow control window. The composition can be a face cleaning lotion or cream, a disinfectant, a household cleaning composition, a perfume, a polish or a medicament.

An easy-open container having top and bottom end panels and a body portion, all of laminate construction comprised of an outer layer of stiff material, an intermediate layer of substantially gas-impermeable material, and a continuously sealed thermoplastic inner layer. The container's top end panel has a line of weakness in its outer stiff layer defining a tear-out section with opening means such as a tape tab non-critically bonded thereto. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the container is opened by pulling the opening means such that the tear-out section separates from the outer stiff layer along with the substantially coinciding portions of the intermediate layer and the inner layer that are attached thereto, thereby defining a dispensing aperture in the container's top end panel. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the container is provided with easy-open/reclosing means such as a rigid, plug-type member that is used to open and reclose the container. A high-speed manufacturing method for making the present invention is also disclosed.
