Devices, systems, and methods for sharing an image sensor data stream with an active alignment subsystem are provided. An example device includes an image sensor coupled to a first processor. The first processor is coupled to a multiplexer and the image sensor. The first processor is configured to receive an image stream from the image sensor, transmit the image stream to a second processor via the multiplexer operating in a first state, and transmit the image stream to at least one test port of the data capture device via the multiplexer operating in a second state. The multiplexer is configured to connect the second processor to the first processor when operating in the first state, and connect the at least one test port to the first processor when operating in the second state. Responsive to receiving an enable signal, the multiplexer operates in the second state, else the first state.

Sharing an image sensor data stream with an active alignment subsystem

The present disclosure provides an indicia decoding device with a printed circuit board (PCB) that allows signals from internal imaging assemblies to pass through a sealed cavity boundary to an external host. This device comprises a decode module, an upright and horizontally mounted window, and multiple imaging assemblies housed within a sealed cavity. The PCB is partially located inside and outside the cavity, featuring ports inside and outside the sealed cavity. Signals from secondary imaging assemblies bypass the decode module, utilizing electrically conductive paths on the PCB, ensuring signal integrity without modification. The PCB may also include image processing circuitry, with results transmitted to the host.

In an embodiment, the present invention is a barcode and RFID tag reader that includes a head portion housing an imaging assembly, the imaging assembly configured to capture images of an environment appearing with a FOV extending through a window; a base portion housing an RFID tag reader assembly; and an intermediate portion extending between the head portion and the base portion. Preferably, the RFID tag reader assembly includes a chassis having a face directed towards the FOV and an antenna assembly at least partially contoured around the face of the chassis where the antenna assembly includes: a monopole flexible antenna having a first monopole antenna element having a first half and a second half, the first half and the second half being substantially symmetrical about a line of symmetry; and a dipole flexible antenna extending at least partially over at least a portion of the first monopole antenna element.
