An insulting cover for industrial control components employs a cover support that may simply attached to existing or specially prepared structures on the control component, which supports a door that may be opened or closed for access to the control component. A variety of different covers may be simply generated using CAD templates executed to cut sheets of plastic that may be formed with relatively simple and low cost techniques.

A method and apparatus for restricting rotation of a threaded fastener, the apparatus including a bracket member having a securing segment and an extending segment that are integrally linked wherein the securing segment forms a recess and the extending segment forms at least one restraining surface wherein a bonding material that solidifies and remains flexible upon curing is provided within the recess and, with the threaded fastener received within an aperture, the bracket member is positionable such that one end of the threaded member is receivable within the recess and within the bonding material prior to curing and the restraining surface contacts a surface of a receiving member to restrict motion of the bracket member about the aperture.

A V-band coupling for use on an explosion-proof enclosure. The V-band coupling includes a V-band having a toughened layer along its interior surfaces for gripping the flanges on the enclosure which the V-band engages when it is installed on the enclosure. The roughened layer results in an increased coefficient of friction between the V-band and flanges which is effective for reducing the load experienced by the trunnion joints of the coupling during explosion events thereby allowing the explosion-proof enclosure to withstand high internal pressures without system failure.

One or more sets of auxiliary contacts are contained within a cartridge which mounts to the side of an electromagnetic contactor. The cartridge snaps into position and is firmly supported at each of its ends. A cam member slidably mounts to the cartridge and couples to the contactor actuator. It includes a sloping cam surface which engages a cam follower pivotally mounted within the cartridge and translates the sliding motion of the contactor actuator into a pivotal motion which operates the auxiliary contacts.
