A lighting control system includes a control system, a plurality of connected control devices and a plurality of lighting output devices each of which includes a processor at their installed location. The control devices and lighting output devices are in communication with the processors via the conventional two-wire power supply wiring. The connected lighting devices are configured to receive a control signal from the control devices through the control system and selectively operate based on the control signal received. The control system may further support multiple control systems that may be interconnected together via conventional two-wire power delivery systems to control larger arrays of sensors, control inputs, and lighting output devices.

A lighting control system is disclosed that includes a device having a processor, a communication interface and a plurality of lighting control outputs connected to the processor, where the communication interface is configured to receive a control input via a web based control platform and the processor is configured to selectively operate the plurality of lighting control outputs based on the control input received by the communication interface.

A color-tunable lighting device and method is disclosed. The device includes a lighting component that has a first lighting element having a warm color temperature, and a second lighting element having a cool color temperature. The first and second lighting elements, together, have a combined color temperature and a combined lumen output. The device further includes a controller configured to apply a first power input to the first lighting element and a second power input to the second lighting element wherein the combined color-temperature of the first lighting element and the second lighting element may be tuned to a desired color temperature at a desired combined lumen output of the lighting component.

Color-tunable lighting device and method

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to automated control of lighting systems at individual-light-fixture, local, regional, and larger-geographical-area levels. One embodiment of the present invention comprises a hierarchical lighting-control system including an automated network-control center that may control up to many millions of individual lighting fixtures and lighting elements, regional routers interconnected to the network-control center or network-control centers by public communications networks, each of which controls hundreds to thousands of individual light fixtures, and light-management units, interconnected to regional routers by radio-frequency communications and/or power-line communications, each of which controls components within a lighting fixture, including lighting elements, associated ballasts, sensors, and other devices.
