A cooling container comprises a container housing with a chilled water storage tank including a first interface for receiving chilled water. The chilled water tank has a plurality of straight pipes joined by elbows connections to provide a folded path, the full path length being greater than the length of the container housing, and a second interface for outputting the chilled water. A number of interfaces within the container housing are configured to receive a chiller module or a free cool unit.

One embodiment of the invention provides a UPS including a precharge circuit and a battery pack sensor electrically coupled to the precharge circuit. The sensor senses the presence of an extra battery pack. The precharge circuit includes: a first precharge contact; a capacitor having first and second leads, the first lead electrically coupled to the first contact; a second precharge contact electrically coupled to the second lead of the capacitor; a current limiting circuit having first and second leads, the first lead of the current limiting circuit electrically coupled to the first lead of the capacitor; and a third precharge contact electrically coupled to the second lead of the current limiting circuit. The UPS can further include an enclosure having a housing and a battery connector integral to the housing, the battery connector adapted to receive the first, second and third precharge contacts.

The present invention provides an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) having a chassis formed using mating panels of a sturdy, lightweight, substantially rigid material, such as ABS plastic, that are fixedly attached together to form a compact, user-friendly chassis using simple connection techniques that entail a minimum of tools and a minimal number of fastening mechanisms. In one general aspect, a UPS in accordance with the invention comprises an input to receive AC power from an AC power source, an output that provides AC power, a DC voltage source that provides DC power, the DC voltage source having an energy storage device, an inverter operatively coupled to the DC voltage source to receive DC power and to provide AC power, a transfer switch constructed and arranged to select one of the AC power source and the DC voltage source as an output power source for the uninterruptible power supply, and a chassis for housing at least the DC voltage source, inverter, and transfer switch. The chassis, in accordance with the invention, comprises a first panel having a substantially 'L' shaped appearance, a second panel constructed and arranged to mate to the first panel, and a first fastener securing the first panel and the second panel into a substantially fixed configuration.

An uninterruptible power supply includes a multipurpose data port that facilitates a plurality of communication methods including USB, serial and other communication methods, between the uninterruptible power supply and a host computer system. The multipurpose data port is configured to prevent interference if a user mistakenly connects a phone line or other similar but inappropriate line to the uninterruptible power supply. The multipurpose data port reduces the machine footprint needed to support multiple communication ports.
