A motor drive assembly for a dual path electric powertrain of a machine is disclosed. The motor drive assembly may include a final drive assembly to engage a ground engaging element of the machine. The motor drive assembly may include an electric motor to provide torque to the final drive assembly. The motor drive assembly may include a planetary gear assembly mechanically coupled to a rotor shaft of the electric motor and an axle of the final drive assembly. The motor drive assembly may include a brake assembly to engage a component of the planetary gear assembly to retard the rotor shaft and the axle.

Motor drive assembly for a dual path electric powertrain of a machine

A cooling assembly for an electric machine is disclosed. The cooling assembly may include a generally cylindrical cooling jacket for receiving a shaft, a rotor and a stator. Further, the cooling jacket jacket may be disposed in an electric machine housing. Additionally, the cooling assembly may include at least two first passages in the cooling jacket for circulating a first coolant and at least one second passage in the cooling jacket for circulating a second coolant, the second passage being disposed between the at least two first passages. Further, the cooling assembly may include a third passage on an exterior of the machine housing, the third passage extending through the housing to fluidly connect the at least two first passages and bypass the second passage.

An end plate for a motor with a motor casing. The end plate includes a body adapted to be coupled to the motor casing and cover an opening of the motor casing. The body defines a ribbed structure to shield a power terminal assembly disposed laterally outwardly with respect to the motor casing. The ribbed structure includes a first rib and a second rib spaced apart from the first rib, and the power terminal assembly is adapted to be coupled to and be captured in between the first rib and the second rib.

A track-type tractor includes a frame housing defining an internal cavity extending to an outer bore, an electric motor module, and a final drive assembly. The electric motor module includes a motor housing having a flanged end portion, and a rotor shaft extending through the flanged end portion. The flanged end portion is mounted to a outer mounting surface of the frame housing surrounding the outer bore, such that the electric motor module extends through the outer bore and is retained within the frame housing internal cavity. The final drive assembly is mounted to the flanged end portion and includes a gear set in operative engagement with the rotor shaft for motorized operation of the final drive assembly.

A method for retrofitting a high drive track-type tractor with a rear entry electric drive motor module. The method includes inserting the rear entry electric drive motor module into a frame housing. The rear entry electric drive motor module includes an electric drive planetary gear assembly, and an electric motor. The method further includes attaching a reaction member to the rear entry electric drive motor module.

A machine having a series electric drivetrain system includes an engine to provide mechanical energy to an electric generator, the electric generator able to convert the mechanical energy received from the engine into electrical energy, the electric generator including an input shaft extending through the electric generator, a rotor to rotate on the input shaft, and the input shaft is able to rotate an input gear, an idler gear, a pump drive gear, and a rotor gear, a motor to receive the electrical energy and to produce a rotational output, a single speed ratio direct drive to transfer the rotational output of the motor to a torque output to deliver to a drive shaft, and power electronics to control the electrical energy between the electric generator and the motor and to regulate the rotational output of the motor.

An electric drive retrofit kit includes a rear entry electric drive motor module that includes an electric drive planetary gear assembly and a second electric drive planetary gear assembly which can be inserted into a rear final drive cavity of a frame housing for a tracked tractor with a high track drive. The electric drive retrofit kit may further include a generator, a cooling package, an additional water pump, a steering pump, a steering motor, power inverters with control modules, and electric cables.

A cable arrangement system for one or more sets of cables to an electric machine is provided. The cable arrangement system includes a terminal box, a compression plate, multiple glands, and a multipoint connector. The terminal box is disposed on a housing of the electric machine and includes a first side having a first set of openings. The compression plate is releasably engaged with the first side and defines a second set of openings axially aligned with the first set of openings. The glands are configured to receive the first set of cables. Each of the glands includes a first and a second portion received in the first and the second set of openings respectively. The multipoint connector is disposed within the terminal box and includes a first and a second set of terminals configured to engage with lugs associated with the first and a second set of cables.

A quick change system for quench press tooling is disclosed. The system including an upper adapter subassembly, an inner bottom adapter, and an outer bottom adapter, the upper adapter subassembly configured for attachment to a machine and the bottom adapters configured for mechanical attachment to the tooling of the machine. The upper adapter assembly further including an inner top adapter having a plurality of notches radially along the outer diameter of the inner top adapter, an inner collar having a plurality of radially inwardly extending tabs at top and bottom ends of the inner collar, a ring shaped holding plate having a series of bolt holes, an outer top adapter in communication with the holding plate, having a notched outwardly extending flange lip, and an outer collar having an outwardly extending lip at a top end and a sidewall extending perpendicularly downward.
