A bone transport device may include a first support member, a second support member, a plurality of first rods, a cable, and a plurality of actuator assemblies. The cable may be configured to be received through a first bone segment. The bone transport device may further include a second rod that is configured to extend through the first bone segment such that the cable abuts a portion of the second rod within the first bone segment. The plurality of actuator assemblies may be attached to the first support member or the second support member. Each of the plurality of actuator assemblies may include a body, a spool, and an actuator. The actuator may be configured to rotate the spool to wind the cable onto the spool and translate a second bone segment with respect to the first support member and the second support member.

Cable bone transport device

A bone fixation element is described. The bone fixation element includes first and second channels, a connection channel, and at least one fenestration. The first channel includes a first proximal channel portion and a first distal channel portion. The first proximal channel portion extends from a proximal end of the first channel toward a distal end, and the first distal channel portion extends from the first proximal channel portion to the distal end. The connection channel extends between the distal end of the first channel and a distal end of the second channel such that the first channel is in fluid communication with the second channel via the connection channel. The at least one fenestration extends from at least one of the first and second channels to an outer surface of the bone fixation element.

Bone fixation element

A polyaxial external fixation strut including a strut member and a first ball joint coupled to an end portion of the strut member. The first ball joint includes a first ball joint body and a first ball member. The first ball member is rotatably coupled to the first ball joint body to allow for variable angle adjustable positioning of the first ball member within the first ball joint body. The first ball joint additionally includes a friction member. The friction member is configured to create friction between the first ball member and the first ball joint body.
