A system for an inlet guide vane shroud and baffle assembly includes a shroud. The shroud includes a first end configured to couple to an annular support member of the gas turbine engine, and a second end. The shroud also includes a distal end including an axially aft extending lip, and a seal assembly configured to form a seal with an annular set of rotating teeth on a rotor of the gas turbine engine. The shroud further includes an arcuate shroud body extending between the distal end and the second end. The shroud and baffle assembly also includes a baffle coupled to an aft side of the shroud. The baffle includes a radially outward end coupled to the aft side, a radially inward end coupled to the axially aft extending lip, and an arcuate baffle body extending there between. Both the shroud and the baffle extend circumferentially about a central axis.

System for an inlet guide vane shroud and baffle assembly

A method and system for controlling machining processes are provided. The system includes a computer system communicatively coupled to a database. The computer system is configured to receive data relating to manufactured part processes, identify at least one machining process used to manufacture a part and a parameter of the at least one machining process, receive survey data relating to the manufacturing process parameters used during the at least one machining process, and receive identification data for the manufactured part. The computer is further configured to receive data relating to a design of experiment (DOE), determine an low cycle fatigue (LCF) life distribution, identify process parameters that affect the LCF, and determine an allowable range for each identified process parameters for safe operation. The computer system is further configured to output the process window embodied in a specification associated with at least one of the part and the process.

Method and system for machining process control

A gas turbine engine includes a non-rotatable member that includes a honeycomb seal that reduces wear to rotor seal teeth disposed within the gas turbine engine. The gas turbine engine also includes a rotatable annular member including a sealing assembly disposed between rotor and stator components. The rotatable annular member includes seal teeth that extend radially outward from the rotatable annular member. The stator components include a non-rotatable member that includes a honeycomb seal that extends radially inward. The honeycomb seal is fabricated from a material that has a melting temperature less than approximately 2000&deg; F.

Methods and apparatus for reducing seal teeth wear

An apparatus and method for axially retaining rotor blades on a rotor disk wherein a integral split ring blade retainer is installed in a groove on a rotor disk and compressed to allow installation of rotor blades into slots on the rotor disk and releasing of the split ring blade retainer from compression causes the split ring blade retainer to engage a hook on the rotor blade and the groove on the rotor disk to react axial loads and prevent axial movement of the rotor blade with relation to the rotor disk.
