The invention provides a system for providing passage of fluid lines through an RF shield, the device comprising an RF shield having external and internal surfaces; a channel defined by the RF shield and extending from the external surface to the internal surface of the RF shield; a hollow cylinder rotatably communicating with said channel and extending substantially the length of the channel; a longitudinally extending region of said cylinder defining a gap adapted to receive a fluid conduit; mounting plates attached to the external surface and the internal surfaces of the RF shield; a movable member having a handle, the movable member attached to either end of the channel, the handle in slidable communication with the mounting plate so as to slide about the periphery of the plate; and a depending end of the handle rigidly attached to the cylinder which in turn is in rotatable communication with the circular plate such that the handle can be manipulated to a first position to allow loading of the conduit into the cylinder and whereby the handle can be manipulated to a second position to prevent unloading of the conduit from the cylinder.

Fluid conduit through RF shield

The invention provides a door system which has a door leaf with a first horizontally disposed edge and a second horizontally disposed edge inferior to the first horizontally disposed edge. The door system also includes a rod-less cylinder in communication with the first horizontally disposed edge and a cam surface formed with the second horizontally disposed edge. The cam surface limits the door to a single plane of movement relative to an opening of an enclosure defining a door jamb.

Multiseal door, method for sealing an enclosure

A radio frequency shield which reversibly transects an electromagnetic frequency enclosure is provided. The shield includes first a number of panels attached to a first surface of the enclosure. The panels are adapted to move through a first arc relative to the first surface. Shield also includes a first panel from the number of panels having a first leading edge capable of transecting the first arc. The shield further includes a second number of panels attached to a second surface of the enclosure. The second set of panels is adapted to move through an arc relative to the second surface of the enclosure. Also a second panel from said second set of panels has a second leading edge capable of transecting the second arc so as to oppose the first leading edge. Finally, the shield includes a means for reversibly attaching the first leading edge to the second leading edge while simultaneously establishing electrical communication between the first and second plurality of panels.

Reverberation chamber tuner and shaft with electromagnetic radiation leakage device

An EMI attenuation device comprising at least two substrates such that the spacing between these substrates is selected to maximize shielding performance at a particular frequency. The device further comprises additional substrates arranged at predetermined distances from the first two substrates to optimize shielding performance. A method also is provided for a multistep, attenuation of impinging EMI, wherein the method also enables see-through and/or hear-through monitoring. Salient features of the method include relatively positioning a plurality of electrically conductive substrates, each of a particular topology, so as to maximize attenuation of the EMI at particular frequencies.

Method for attenuating electromagnetic interference using resonant cavities of dissimilar dimensions

An EMI attenuation device including at least two substrates such that the spacing between these substrates is selected to maximize shielding performance at a particular frequency. The device further includes additional substrates arranged at predetermined distances from the first two substrates to optimize shielding performance. A method also is provided for a multi-step, attenuation of impinging EMI, wherein the method also enables see-through and/or hear-through monitoring. Salient features of the method include relatively positioning a plurality of electrically conductive substrates, each of a particular topology, so as to maximize attenuation of the EMI at particular frequencies.

Electromagnetic interference attenuation device

A window wall for shielded enclosures is provided for use in a large opening in a shielded enclosure that preserves the shielding integrity of the shielded enclosure and that is easy to install. The window wall includes a frame having a frame perimeter received within a shielded enclosure window opening in electrical conductive engagement with the shielded enclosure. The frame includes a selected number of horizontal muntins and vertical mullions defining a plurality of clear window openings. A window unit frame is received in each clear window opening supported by and electrically connected to the frame. A pair of spaced apart radio frequency shielding continuous screens span each window opening and are supported by the window unit frame. Each screen is formed of electrically conductive mesh material and is mechanically and electrically connected with the window unit frame, thereby providing continuous electrical contact with the shielded enclosure.

Window wall for shielded enclosures

A shielding vent for an electromagnetic interference shielded enclosure having an electrically conducting wall shield includes a mounting plate or flange through which extends a vent pipe with an internal septum plate or divider extending axially along at least a portion of the inner length of the vent pipe. The mounting flange is secured to a wall of the shielded enclosure over an opening in the wall and to the wall shield to insure that the integrity of the shielding for the enclosure is maintained. With the mounting flange so mounted on the wall of the enclosure, the vent pipe extends through the opening in the wall of the enclosure and provides fluid communication between an internal region of the enclosure and a region external of the enclosure. The septum plate has a cross section in the shape of a cross so that at least a portion of the length of the cylindrically shaped vent pipe is subdivided into four parallel, axially extending equal fluid flow sections. These fluid flow sections are sufficiently large in cross sectional area that they provide a minimum of resistance to fluid flowing through the vent pipe. By using the cross-shaped septum plate in the vent pipe, the vent pipe can be made significantly shorter in length than previously used vent pipes of similar diameter, yet the vent affords an adequate degree of EMI shielding.

Vent for shielded enclosures

A window for electromagnetic interference shielded enclosures has a shielding screen system with two grids having dimensionally different mesh patterns to overcome optical interference and distraction resulting from the moire effect. The screens are supported in spaced, angularly offset positions on a continuous frame providing electrical continuity between the shielding system and the shielding layer of a surrounding wall.
