A connection assembly for automated lifting and positioning of a chiksan or other fluid conduit in proximity to a fluid inlet of a device such as, for example, a cement or hydraulic fracturing head. Once a chiksan or other flow line is positioned in a desired location, a secure connection is made between the outlet of the chiksan or other fluid conduit and the fluid inlet including, without limitation, when the device is positioned at an elevated location above a rig floor.

Method and apparatus for automated connection of a fluid conduit

A connection assembly for automated lifting and positioning of a chiksan or other fluid conduit in proximity to a fluid inlet of a device such as, for example, a cement head. Once a chiksan or other flow line is positioned in a desired location, a secure connection is made between the outlet of the chiksan or other fluid conduit and the fluid inlet of a cement head including, without limitation, when the cement head is positioned at an elevated location above a rig floor.

A vehicle which provides a standard vehicle body, transmission and electric system. There is further provided a generator component in place of the gasoline powered engine, which is capable of producing 110 volts and 220 volts to power the vehicle. There is further provided an electric motor engaged to the transmission via a chain or a universal joint. Further, there would be provided a 12 volt battery for powering the normal electrical components, namely the lights, radio, horn, fan, heater and other units. An electric motor would be utilized to operate the alternator, air compressor and vacuum pump to operate the power steering, power brakes and electric transmission. In addition, air generated by the compressor could be used to keep tires properly full, while the AC power could be used to power lamps, chain saws, stoves or electric tools, under camping or the like conditions.

Electrically powered vehicle engine

The present invention provides a cement shoe assembly for use on a string of tubulars in a well. In one aspect of the invention, the cement shoe assembly includes a housing having a lower portion with an enlarged inside diameter and a drillable cement shoe disposed therein. The shoe includes a weakened portion of material adjacent the enlarged inside diameter portion of the housing and ensures that as a cutting tool passes through the housing, all portions of the cement shoe are removed from the enlarged inside diameter portion, leaving a connection surface clear of debris for a subsequent tubular string. When a smaller tubular is expanded into the enclosed diameter portion of the housing, a connection is made therebetween without enlarging the outer diameter of the housing.

Completion apparatus and methods for use in hydrocarbon wells

The present invention generally relates to a flow-actuated valve for use in a wellbore. The invention includes a body having a closing member and a seat. The closing member and seat are separable to open and close the valve, thereby allowing the flow of fluid through the valve. The invention further includes a retainer to initially retain the valve in the open position absent a predetermined fluid flow rate in a first direction for a predetermined time period. A biasing member thereafter urges the valve to the closed position, absent another fluid flow rate in the first direction.
