A sensor assembly for controlling a flow of water through a faucet includes a shank and a head. The shank is configured to pass through an aperture in a wall and terminates at a flange at a first end of the shank. The head is configured to be coupled to the shank. The head includes a base, a top portion, and circuitry. The base has a first side configured to be supported by a first side of the wall and a second side configured to interface with a first side of the flange. The base includes an opening configured to receive the flange and a hole configured to receive a portion of the shank. The circuitry is configured to be positioned between the cover and a second side of the flange opposite the first side of the flange. The circuitry interfaces with the second side of the flange.

Sensor assembly for faucet

A sensor assembly for controlling a solenoid valve, the solenoid valve controlling the flow of water through a faucet, is described. The sensor assembly includes a head including a bottom portion configured to be supported by a wall and a top portion. The sensor assembly also includes a proximity sensor including a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter projects a beam into a detection zone. The sensor assembly also includes processing electronics configured to cause the solenoid valve to open in response to a receiver detecting a reflection from an object in the detection zone.

Plumbing fixtures with a valve actuator for automatically controlling pivoting of a flush valve, and methods of calibrating movement of the flush valve, are disclosed. The motor of the valve actuator may be positioned between the bowl of the fixture and a leg of a trapway to provide compact assembly. A belt drive laterally extending along the trapway links the motor to the flush valve. The method of calibrating includes establishing stop points which are at positions of less resistance than hard stop positions.

A handle assembly for a faucet that includes a silicone member configured to slide over and be removable coupled to a faucet handle, wherein the silicone member comprises an opening in which the faucet handle may be received and an external surface that may be gripped by a user. A faucet handle may include a longitudinal groove used to allow air to escape from the opening of the silicone member. The handle assembly does not require additional elements to couple the silicone member to the faucet handle.
