A method for optimizing the compilation of a machine learning model to be executed on target edge devices is provided. Compute nodes of a plurality of compute nodes are allocated to a compiler optimization process for a compiler of said machine learning model. The machine learning model has a compute graph representation having nodes that are kernel operators necessary to execute the machine learning model and edges that connect said kernel operators to define precedence constraints. A round of optimization is scheduled for the process amongst the allocated compute nodes. At each allocated compute node a sequencing and scheduling solution is applied per round to obtain a performance metric for the machine learning model. From each compute node the performance metric is received and a solution that has the best performance metric is identified and implemented for execution of the machine learning model on the target edge devices.

Distributed machine learning compiler optimization

Various aspects of the disclosure relate to encoding information and decoding information. In some aspects, the disclosure relates to an encoder and a decoder for Polar codes with HARQ. If a first transmission of the encoder fails, information bits associated with a lower quality channel may be retransmitted. At the decoder, the resulting decoded retransmitted bits may be used to decode the first transmission by substituting the retransmitted bits for the original corresponding (low quality channel) bits. In some aspects, to decode the first transmission, soft-combining is applied to the decoded retransmitted bits and the original corresponding (low quality channel) bits. In some aspects, CRC bits for a first transmission may be split between a first subset of bits and a second subset of bits. In this case, the second subset of bits and the associated CRC bits may be used for a second transmission (e.g., a retransmission).

Encoding and decoding techniques

Disclosed are techniques to determine a position of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE receives a plurality of positioning reference signals (PRS) from a plurality of cells. The UE determines a plurality of time of arrivals (TOA) of the plurality of PRSs, and prunes the plurality of TOAs based on the plurality of PRSs. The UE then derives a time difference of arrival (TDOA) vector from the pruned TOAs. The TDOA vector includes multiple TOA related measurements of multiple cells. The UE prunes the TOAs such that the cells represented in the TDOA vector are sufficiently geographically dispersed to determine the position of the UE at least in 2D.

Simplified cell location information sharing for positioning purposes

The present disclosure provides self-decodable redundancy versions for a systematic code. An apparatus for wireless communications includes at least one processor coupled with a memory and comprising encoder circuitry configured to encode a set of information bits using a systematic code to generate an encoded bit stream with information bits and parity bits, and bit ordering circuitry configured to re-order bits in the encoded bit stream to distribute the information bits and the parity bits. The apparatus includes a transmitter configured to transmit the re-ordered bits in accordance with a radio technology via one or more antenna elements situated proximate the receiver.

Communication techniques with self-decodable redundancy versions (RVs) using systematic codes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message configuring the UE to communicate coordinated transmissions with multiple transmission reception points (TRPs) using a first coordinated transmission mode of a set of different coordinated transmission modes. The UE may receive, based on the configuration message, downlink control information including at least one indicator and receive a first coordinated transmission communicated in accordance with the first coordinated transmission mode. The UE may transmit, in accordance with a feedback configuration corresponding to the at least one indicator and the first coordinated transmission mode, a feedback message for the first coordinated transmission to at least one of the multiple TRPs.

Feedback design for multi-transmission reception point transmission

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting data and control information in a first RACH message to a base station as part of a two-step RACH procedure. In particular, rather than or in addition to transmitting data and control information in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the first RACH message, a user equipment (UE) may transmit the data and control information along with a RACH preamble in a RACH occasion in the first RACH message (e.g., when the number of bytes of data or control information to be transmitted is low). Using these techniques, in some instances, the UE may transmit the data and control information in a first RACH message without transmitting the PUSCH, and the overhead associated with transmitting the PUSCH may be eliminated.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, and systems for predicting a location of a device in a spatial environment using a machine learning model. An example method generally includes measuring a plurality of signals received from a network entity at a device. A channel state information (CSI) measurement is generated from the measured plurality of signals. Generally, the CSI measurement includes a multipath component. Positions of one or more anchors in a spatial environment are identified based on a machine learning model trained to identify the positions of the one or more anchors based on the CSI measurement. A location of the device is estimated based on the identified positions of the one or more anchors.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining a suitable pattern for transmitting reference signals used for positioning on allocated resources. In particular, the pattern may be used to assign the reference signals to frequency tones across multiple symbols such that the frequency tones to which the reference signals are mapped in at least two consecutive symbols are non-adjacent (e.g., separated by at least one frequency tone). In some cases, a wireless device may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning autonomously (e.g., based on configured algorithms or a look-up table), and, in other cases, a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning based on a configuration received from another wireless device (e.g., a base station).

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for slot aggregation in new radio (NR) systems. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving radio resource control (RRC) signaling providing a semi-static configuration for transmission and/or reception of a repeated transport block (TB) and/or a different TB in each of a plurality of aggregated slots. The UE transmits or receives the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the semi-static configuration. Another method is provided in which the UE transmits and/or receives a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in each of a plurality of aggregated slots, each DMRS associated with a repeated TB or a different TB in the slot. The UE determines, based on received signaling, whether the DMRS use a same precoder or a different precoder and modulates and/or demodulates the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the determination.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may send a capabilities report to a base station. The capabilities report may include an explicit indication that the UE is capable of receiving a maximum layer radio resource control (RRC) parameter, or may include ambiguous (e.g., multiple) capabilities. The base station may receive the capabilities report, and may determine whether to transmit a maximum layer RRC parameter based on the explicit indication, or the ambiguous capabilities, which indicates a maximum number of layers to be used for subsequent communications. If the UE is capable of receiving the maximum layer RRC parameter, the base station may send the maximum layer RRC parameter to the UE, and may perform wireless communications according to the indicated maximum number of layers.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for selecting an antenna configuration for transmitting in a wireless communication network. An example technique may include determining that a front guard period is not scheduled between a scheduled uplink transmission and a scheduled sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission, and based on the determination, transmitting the scheduled SRS transmission using a first antenna configuration after transmitting the scheduled uplink transmission using the first antenna configuration.

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes identifying, while the UE is in a connected mode with a network, a radio resource configuration of the UE, selecting a dedicated set of resources for the UE or a common set of resources for a plurality of UEs based at least in part on the identified radio resource configuration, and transmitting a pilot signal to the network using the selected set of resources. Methods for wireless communication at a network access device and a network access device controller are also described.

Techniques for providing uplink-based mobility

Bandwidth part (BWP) switching may benefit a wireless communications system. Such BWP switching may include indication of one or more timing parameters used for time domain resource allocation. For example, the timing parameters may be indicated based on an index to a look-up table (e.g., a bit field in a control transmission). In some cases, one or more tables may be configured for a given BWP, and different tables may contain a different number of rows. The size of the bit field indexing the table may in turn depend on the number of rows. When switching from a first BWP to a second BWP, the size of the bit field may be based on the table of the first BWP, but the bit field may index the table of the second BWP. Techniques supporting improved timing parameter management during BWP switching are discussed herein.
