A junction box housing system includes a housing, a first hanger connected to a first side of a sidewall of the housing, and a second hanger connected to a second side of the sidewall distal from the first side. In various examples, the housing is movable along the first hanger and the second hanger in a horizontal direction.

A recessed lighting unit includes a light engine and provides angular adjustment of the light emanating from the lighting unit. In one arrangement, the lighting unit includes a heat sink and a module frame that slidingly interact to provide rotation of the light engine in one degree of freedom, for example rotation about a horizontal axis. A rotation mechanism may also be provided for rotating the light engine in a second degree of freedom, for example rotation about the axis of a cylindrical recessed can in which the light engine is disposed. The lighting unit may be configured for use in new construction, or for retrofit applications.

A light fixture includes a body with a first section at a first end and a second section at a second end and a light source disposed inside the body at the first end. In an installed configuration, the body is at least partially located inside an electrical box such that the first section and the first end are disposed inside the electrical box. The light source aims light from the first end toward the second end to illuminate an architectural space.

A retrofit assembly for inserting LED luminaries into previously recessed lighting fixtures has a horizontal bridge adjustable for various existing opening diameters of ceiling holes. The horizontal bridge carries two vertically adjustable brackets at its opposing ends. Tabs on the end plates of the bridge and tabs on the vertically adjustable brackets together help form bolt-operated vertical clamps adjustable for various ceiling thicknesses. The vertically adjustable brackets also carry torsion spring receivers for accepting the torsion springs of a retrofit LED luminaire/trim assembly. The vertically adjustable brackets may be spring-loaded for ease of adjustment when increasing the dimension of the vertical clamps.

A self-centering hyperbolic trim assembly is provided for a recessed light fixture. The trim assembly includes a mixing chamber, a hyperbolic reflector and a reflector mounting assembly to mount the hyperbolic reflector without rigid attachment in an optic housing of the recessed light fixture. The mixing chamber is top mounted by its chamber holder portion over an LED light source in the optic housing. The mixing chamber has a light transmitting chamber body held within the chamber holder portion, whereby a space is formed between the chamber holder and the light transmitting chamber body. This space is sufficient to accept the free upper end of the hyperbolic reflector therein, thus creating a self-centering interference fit between the mixing chamber and the reflector, while protecting the LED light source, when the light fixture is assembled, thereby maintaining consistent light output and patterning.

A one-piece, sloped baffle includes a generally cylindrical central opening having a central axis extending between an open circular end and an open elliptical end. A plane defining the open circular end is perpendicular to the central axis. A plane defining the open elliptical end is at an oblique angle relative to the central axis. The baffle further includes an opening extending between the ends and a pair of opposing edges substantially parallel with the central axis and on opposite sides of the opening. First projections are positioned on opposite sides of the opening and aligned with the opposing edges. Second projections are positioned on opposite sides of the opening at a radial distance from the first projections. The baffle further includes a plurality of grooves that extend circumferentially around an inner surface of the baffle.

An adjustable assembly for conveying heat away from a fixture. The adjustable assembly includes a sliding plate having a first side for mounting the fixture thereon and a curved surface opposite the first side. The adjustable assembly also includes a fixed heat sink having a mating surface adapted to allow the curved surface of the sliding plate to slide from a first position to a second position while maintaining a substantially flush contact between the curved surface of the sliding plate and the mating surface of the fixed heat sink. At least one fastener is also provided for securing the sliding plate to the fixed heat sink alternately in the first position or the second position.

An electrical fixture assembly is provided that is adapted to be modified to comply with a power usage limit assigned to the electrical fixture for operation in a circuit. The electrical fixture assembly has a surface and a label adapted to be applied to the surface. The label has a plurality of sections. Each section identifies a respective one of a plurality of power usage limits for operating the electrical fixture in a circuit. At least one of the sections is adapted to be removed from the label when the power usage limit identified by the at least one of the sections exceeds another power usage limit associated with the electrical fixture when installed in the circuit.
