Various fluid delivery systems are described comprising an infusion pump having a housing with a first opening and a hollow interior portion that is configured to receive a cartridge having a tubing. A pump unit can be disposed within the housing. The pump unit comprises a motor mechanically coupled with a crank shaft or eccentric cam that is configured to move a set of pistons or other objects to thereby compress one or more portions of the tubing over time as the crank shaft or eccentric cam rotates.

Systems and components for regulating fluid infusion to a patient

A system and method for patient-adaptive hemodynamic management is described. One embodiment includes a system for hemodynamic management including transfusion, volume resuscitation with intravenous fluids, and medications, utilizing monitored hemodynamic parameters including the described dynamic predictors of fluid responsiveness, and including an intelligent algorithm capable of adaptation of the function of the device to specific patients.

System and method for closed-loop patient-adaptive hemodynamic management

Methods and systems to validated physiologic waveform reliability and uses thereof are provided. A number of embodiments describe methods to validate waveform reliability, including blood pressure waveforms, electrocardiographic waveforms, and/or any other physiological measurement producing a continuous waveform. Certain embodiments output reliability measurements to closed loop systems that can control infusion rates of cardioactive drugs or other fluids in order to regulate blood pressure, cardiac rate, cardiac contractility, and/or vasomotor tone. Further embodiments allow for waveform evaluators to validate waveform reliability based on at least one waveform feature using data collected from clinical monitors using machine learning algorithms.

Methods and systems to validate physiologic waveform reliability and uses thereof

Systems and methods are described for presenting information for managing a vital sign of a patient. A graphical user interface (GUI) can be presented that displays information concerning a vital sign of a patient, including the most current value of the vital sign received and past values of the vital sign over an elapsed time period. Preferably, the systems and methods are used with a closed-loop system that may automatically adjust a dosage rate of a medication, although manual control is also contemplated. The GUI may comprise one or more visual indicators presented on the historical data that, when selected, present additional information that may be useful to managing the care of the patient.

Systems and methods for monitoring and controlling fluid infusion to a patient

Closed-loop systems and methods are described herein for regulating a flow of medication being intermittently infused to a patient based on one or more vital signs. The dosage rate of the medication can be adjusted periodically as needed to ensure the patient's vital sign remains with a target range. Various safeguards can be used to ensure the safety and efficacy of the closed-loop systems and methods.
