In one aspect, a device may include a housing, at least one processor within the housing, storage accessible to the at least one processor and within the housing, and plural heat absorbers within the housing that may be spherical. Each heat absorber may include an outer shell and inner material. The outer shell may include a shape-memory material. The inner material may include phase-change material different from the shape-memory material. The melting point of the phase-change material may be lower than the melting point of the shape-memory material. The heat absorbers may be juxtaposed with one or more other components of the device to absorb heat from the one or more other components.

A system can include a housing that defines a first plane; a base that defines a second plane; and an adjustable hinge assembly that rotatably couples the base and the housing about an axis, where the hinge assembly includes permanent magnets that generate a first magnetic field and a second magnetic field orientable with respect to each other via rotation of the housing with respect to the base, where the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field include an aligned orientation, generate a clockwise restoring torque responsive to rotation of the housing in a first rotational direction from the aligned orientation, and generate a counterclockwise restoring torque responsive to rotation of the housing in a second, opposite rotational direction from the aligned orientation, and where the aligned orientation is adjustable to correspond to a selected angle between the first plane and the second plane.

One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, from at least one sensor associated with an information handling device, an indication to transmit an electrical pulse to a magnetic coupling integrated into the information handling device; transmitting, responsive to the receiving and using a pulse transmitter, the electrical pulse to the magnetic coupling; and affecting a function of the magnetic coupling based on the transmitted electrical pulse. An apparatus can include a processor; memory accessible by the processor; a display operatively coupled to the processor; a hinge assembly that includes an axle and leaves where at least one of the leaves includes a leaf magnet that includes north poles and south poles; and a first housing and a second housing that include leaf receptacles that, in a coupled state, receive the leaves of the hinge assembly to pivotably couple the first housing and the second housing.

One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, an indication to transmit an electrical pulse to an electropermanent magnet; transmitting, responsive to the receiving and using a pulse transmitter, the electrical pulse to the electropermanent magnet; and affecting a movement of a keyboard of the information handling device based on the received electrical pulse. An electronic apparatus includes a base subassembly and a display subassembly. A hinge is rotatably coupled to the base subassembly and the display subassembly. The hinge allows the base subassembly and the display subassembly to rotate about an operating axis to change a rotational orientation of the display subassembly relative to the base subassembly. An elevation mechanism is operatively coupled to the hinge. The elevation mechanism includes a support tray disposed in the base subassembly that holds the mechanical elements. The elevation mechanism is responsive to torque that changes the rotational orientation of the display subassembly such that the elevation mechanism lifts the support tray when the display subassembly is moved to an upright position and lowers the support tray when the display subassembly is moved to a closed position.
