A brush ring assembly including a brush ring, a brush holder coupled to the brush ring, and a brush spring. The brush spring includes a coiled spring body, a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion and the second end portion are disposed on opposing ends of the spring body. The first end portion, the second end portion, and the coiled spring body are coupled to the brush holder. The first end portion is bent across at least a portion of the coiled spring body in a direction toward the second end portion.

Diaphragm pump and motor system and method

A pump comprising a lower housing, a diaphragm assembly, an upper housing, a valve housing, and an o-ring is provided. The diaphragm assembly is positioned adjacent to the lower housing. The upper housing is positioned adjacent to the diaphragm assembly and includes an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber separated by a ring. The valve housing is positioned between the upper housing and the diaphragm assembly, encloses the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber, and includes a cutout in contact with the ring. The ring includes raised outer walls to receive the cutout and the o-ring is positioned between the raised outer walls of the ring and secured between the raised outer walls by the cutout.

Embodiments of the invention provide a pump assembly including a pump, a motor, and a baseplate. The pump includes a valve housing and an upper housing with a ring to separate an inlet chamber from an outlet chamber. An o-ring is positioned between raised outer walls of the ring and secured by a cutout of the valve housing. The motor includes a brush ring assembly with brush holders and torsion springs urging brushes through the brush holders. The baseplate includes a cutout capable of allowing the use of a clamp or a wrap to couple the baseplate to the motor.

Apparatus for a pump assembly and a fluid metering unit. The pump assembly can include a diaphragm with a portion of a body being molded over a portion of each one of a plurality of pistons. The pump assembly can include a wobble plate, a lower housing, and a spring positioned between the wobble plate and the lower housing. A valve housing can include pumping chambers with side walls that are angled. The fluid metering unit can include a bayonet locking mechanism and/or a seal between a housing and a flow meter. The controller can be calibrated according to the type and/or temperature of the fluid.

Pump assembly and fluid metering unit

The pump of the present invention preferably includes a housing having an inlet port, an outlet port and a chamber located in fluid communication with the inlet port and the outlet port. A diaphragm is sealingly secured in the chamber and, together with the housing, define a fluid passageway from the inlet port to the outlet port. An electromagnetic assembly or other driving device is preferably secured to the housing and is positioned to move the diaphragm in order to pump fluid through the pump. In some preferred embodiments, the electromagnetic assembly includes a plunger positioned and adapted to move the diaphragm against the biasing force of a spring. Improved diaphragms and diaphragm features are also disclosed, including a two-part diaphragm structure, diaphragm sealing portions for sealing the fluid chamber from driving and biasing assemblies of the pump, and inherently biased diaphragms.
