A connector assembly having a first connector portion, which has a lever that is configured to slide a pair of cam track structures, and a second connector portion that includes a plurality of cam followers that are received into cam tracks in the cam track structures. The lever can be operated to draw the first connector portion toward the second connector portion to couple first and second terminals together.

Lever actuated electrical center assembly

A power distribution box assembly having a power distribution box, a plurality of wire assemblies, a holder and a plurality of sets of resilient fingers. The power distribution box having a housing, which defines a plurality of terminal cavities, and a plurality of conductive busbars, each of which terminating at a busbar terminal that is received in a corresponding one of the terminal cavities. The wire assemblies are coupled to the busbar terminals and extending from a rear side of the housing. The holder is received in the rear side of the housing and engaged to the housing in a snap-fit manner. The holder has a plurality of wire channels, each of which receiving an associated one of the wires. Each set of resilient fingers has at least one finger that is resiliently coupled to the holder and configured to engage an associated one of the wires.

Power distribution box assembly

A junction block assembly includes a junction block holding at least two first connectors, and at least two second connectors that mate with the first connectors. To reduce the force required to assemble the connectors, first and second cam levers are rotatably mounted to the junction block. The first and second cam levers each engage one of the second connectors and pull the engaged second connector into connection with a mating one of the first connectors. An arm of the second cam lever travels past an arm of the first cam lever during rotation.

A connector () is configured for mounting to a panel (). The panel () has a mounting aperture () formed with a keyway (). The connector () has a housing () with a front end () dimensioned to pass through the mounting aperture (). However, keys () project out in proximity to the front end () of the housing (). At least one of the keys () is dimensioned to pass through the keyway (). A stop flange () projects out from the housing () rearward of the keys (). A resiliently deflectable locking finger () projects forward of the stop flange () and is dimensioned to engage in the keyway ().

A connector () has a body () with an outwardly projecting flange spaced rearward from the front end () of the body (). Wide mounting slots () extend through the flange (). A seal () has a frame-shaped body () mounted over the front end () of the body () and against the flange (). Attachment tabs () project back from the frame-shaped body () and through the mounting slots (). The attachment tabs () have a length greater than their width and a width greater than their thickness. Portions of the attachment tabs () rearward of the attachment tabs () rearward of and adjacent to the flange () are wide than the mounting slots () for holding the seal () on the housing ().

A junction box assembly includes a lower cover, a junction box and an upper cover. The junction box holds one or more connectors that mate with corresponding connectors in the lower cover. The junction box includes a locking structure that engages with a corresponding locking structure of the upper cover. The junction box also includes a cover engagement restriction portion. The upper cover includes a lock position assurance device that abuts against the cover engagement restriction portion and restricts the upper cover from engaging the lower cover if the junction box is not properly installed into the lower cover. The lock position assurance device may also restrict accidental disengagement of the junction box from the junction box by restricting the junction box locking structure from disengaging the corresponding locking structure of the upper cover.

An electrical junction box is provided including a mounting cover, a connector, and a slide-arm. The connector is disposed within the mounting cover and includes a boss. The slide-arm is slidably supported by the mounting cover and includes a slanted driving surface. The slide-arm is operable to displace the connector by slidably engaging the boss with the slanted driving surface.

A junction box assembly for a vehicle having a junction box, a positive conductive terminal, a bus bar and a conductive jump-start terminal that are coupled to a battery cable in a manner wherein high-current electrical energy does not flow though the junction box during a jump-start event. The jump-start terminal is configured with a blade portion that provides the user of the vehicle with a convenient point to which the positive lead of a jumper cable may be attached during jump-starting operations.
